Age users

A really nice question. I guess this can't be answered in any way than to tell our ages and find the avarage. I'm 14
 
It differs (especially since the average in this particular forum can't be accounted for the rest), but I'm assuming around little kids ~ teenagers/young adults. o_O;
 
It is probably not the most accurate to be asking this question in PC, as Naminé sees this place as mostly a gathering of teenagers, even outside of the Pokemon section. In the Pokemon TCG tournaments, it's evident that there are some adults who are into the fad as well, although they're a rarity. The average age, as mentioned by Ms. Lily, are probably teenagers. Naminé guesses that those who love Pokemon beyond elementary will most likely stick to Pokemon for a very long time too. If they are not afraid of peer pressure of teasing due to liking Pokemon, then they probably really like it~
 
Yeah Im guessing anything from early teens upwards.
Iv seen younger ones go off it completely because they truely have no will power :|
 
I think this depends on the enviroment. In this forum, it might be little kids to teenagers, but in other places, there might be a place solely for adult pokemon fans (or vice versa with little kids). I don't think I can calculate if the enviroment is the entire populace itslef..

Most of the fans I've met are in the 14-18 range because they were kids when it came out and have sorta held onto it, but I have seen many older fans and few younger fans. I think Pokemon is a thing where people still only like it because it was a big part of their childhood. It will be the same with children fans now who will grow up in a few years and realize this is realy something special and they don't want to let go.

...Man, I can get all philisophical if I wanna. lol.

On PC, I'd say 14 is a good guess mainly because most of the people I've met are around that age, and also because there is an unusually high number of 11 and 12 year olds on this board.
The number is different in other Pokemon forums. Smogon's average age is probably 17 or so, and on Pokemasters, the average age seems to be 20 or even higher.

The median is around 14, I think. Not bad for contradicting the assumption by my librarian that it's 'for babies'.
 
A couple of years ago I took the averages of a bunch of users on SPPf who had posted in an age thread, and the average came out as 16. :/

I think there are more 18+ Pokémon fans than people normally give it credit for. I know an awful lot, at the very least.
 
I would say that most of the pokemon fans are between 11 to 20 years old. There are not many kids below the age of 10 who are into Pokemon, mainly because they weren't around when it was popular.

11 And Up Understand Pokemon And Are Diehard Fans, Mostly Because It Was A Big Part Of Their Childhoods.

The Whole Concept Of Pokemon Ranges From What Pokemon Thing Are You Talking About. Ex- The Cards Range From 7-12, The Toys And Accesories Range From 3-12 And Some Other Higher Aged Collectors.
 
Well....in these forums I've noticed mostly teenagers, like others have said.
But outside this place its probably mostly little kids. Or at least half and half, because I know a LOT of little children are into Pokemon.
 
I think that the age of the average Pokemon fan would around 14 or 15. I tend to see more teenagers who like Pokemon compaired to little children but that is where I am, I don't know how the ratio of teen Pokemon fans compaired to children whould be were others lived.

Heh, I must be one of the older pokemon fans. ^-^; Well, I like lots of little kid stuff. I just find it funner than stupid grown-up television. Plus I like the pokemon. I happen to be a REALLY big animal lover, and so pokemon are like talking animals to me. Hey, what could be better than a talking animal that hangs out with you? ^^

Besides, I see no reason for me to 'grow-up' and become all stuffy until I have to (which is hopefully never!). It never sounded very fun to me. XD
 
I'd guess I'm above average. I'm one of those who got into Pokemon in the RBY days and never lost enthusiasm for it, unlike most of my age group who did play it and then stopped.

I think that many people 'grow out' of Pokemon. When I was a freshman in high school, many of my friends loved Pokemon, and they routinely played the TCG at lunch and recited TR's motto. Heck, some of them were even Pokeshippers. XD Then after that year they all stopped liking it. In fact, later on when they found out that I still liked it, they made fun of me liking it. =P
 
I really dunno man. I am 15 and have no clue about average age...
