in Red, i had an Alakazam with a speed stat of 339, the max one can gain possibly in the game, with this in mind, when i couldnt take him over to ruby, i started a quest to try and train another one with that speed, then learned that i could go even higher, with a good nature and lots of speed training, he could reach 372, but after a few attempts, it seems things just dont work, if there is a problem with what im doing as stated below to make his speed max out then please tell me, itd be much appreciated:

Hasty Nature - bred from lv 100 Alakazam - trained from level 5 to level 50 against nothing but Zigzagoons, Wingull, Electrike, Magnetric, Linoone - at level 50 trained against Numels to raise Spc attack, periodically checking with the effort ribbon woman if ev points are maxed - when points are maxed, receive ribbon and trade to colloseum - finish training in colloseum.

it looks right enough to me... O.o; I dunno what is wrong. Are you sure that you waited long enough with the box trick part of EV training?

It's slightly easier to go to the underwater cavern where Team Aqua/Magma was and battle Zubats/Golbats there... they give nothing but speed. It's advised to use rare candy to lvl 100, then gain the EVs. When you get the effort ribbon, do the GSC box trick and let the speed/sp.atk EVs settle in slowly.

Not sure what Hasty decreases, but take one that decreases attack power for speed boost.

It could just have a poorer Speed IV. And it's better to train against Spinda for special attack since Numel gives both attack points. Hasty lowers Defense I think.

Hasty raises Speed and lowers Defense, somethig you don't want to do for Alakazam since it's defenses are already pathetic enough. You want Timid for your personality.
