I've always been slightly bothered by the fact that, in order to have translucent blocks on my profile page, I'd have to set the Background Color to transparent and then upload an translucent image to use as a Background Image.

Wouldn't it be better to allow the use of rgba directly? And rgb while we're at it. It seems that what goes in the Background Color input on the Customize Profile panel more or less equals what comes out as the background-color CSS property for each respective element on a profile. It seems counterintuitive to me that we can only use partial functionality and have to hack around it instead.
