whoops my other events got out of hand, hi i'm here

Alola Migration

In the Sinnoh region, there are two pokemon, who are mostly alike, but look a little different. Growing up on opposite sides of the region have made them appear different to each other...​

Idea

Your job for this contest is to imagine if previous generations of pokemon lived in Alola for hundreds of years and started to have alternate coats based on the region, and to create art for them!

Rules

1. Only pixel art and digital/traditional art allowed.
2. All submissions will be entered before July 19th.
3. Do not steal or use fan-made designs by artists.
4. Post in this thread when you are finished.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ sometime the formatting is broken, sometimes I don't edit it and it becomes unbroken. The lists are not the correct font but I just don't care atm.

UNSURE AREAS:

Currently running event with lots of different types of art is kind of a mess atm.
I don't know if we should separate the different media type to be judged against each other.

On one hand, we might have a low amount of competition. On the other hand, making uses able to enter in multiple ones (make a drawing, then make pixel art for it) might be nice.

Emblems would be categorized by type if we do it that way, so not sure for now.

The only things I can recommend are using a base Pokemon for everyone to draw off of. Like, everyone edits a Pikachu or a Riolu or something like that - something static that will make judging easier. But to be fair that has the potential to limit creativity as much as anything else, so it's really an optional change at best.

I like that every medium is allowed, since this is more of a concept challenge than an application challenge. Judging them separately would just be more complicated imo. Keep 'em together.

That's all I can think of! Solid event - fun, different, exciting. Looks good to me! n_n I'll post the proper thread when the time comes!

Hmmm...you are right about maybe limiting it. 'Cause using Bellasom would be pretty unfair as it's already looks like it could belong! Maybe we should limit it to a pool of pokemon.

I'm not sure if we need the thread like...in a few hours or not ahaha so we'll see who posts it.
