Alolan Mix-Up
![[PokeCommunity.com] Alolan Mix-Up: Submit Pokemon now! [PokeCommunity.com] Alolan Mix-Up: Submit Pokemon now!](https://www.pokemon-sunmoon.com/media/uploads/aug_1_assets/pr_alola-770x562.png)
The seventh generation of Pokemon games introduced us to a lot of exciting new features. We (finally) said goodbye to HMs, we gained powerful Z-Moves and, most noticeably, for the first time ever in the games, we have been introduced to regional variants.
In Pokemon Sun & Moon, several familiar Pokemon receive makeovers that effect their typing, stats and also appearances to show how they have adapted to life in the Alola region. So far though only a few Pokemon - and only Kanto ones at that - have been given an Alolan form. Much like with the Make-a-Mega series, we'll be fixing that problem with Alolan Mix-Up articles by creating some hypothetical Alola Forms of our own.
Week One: Pokemon Choice (Which Pokemon will get a new Alola Form?)
Week Two: Type (What changes will be made to its type?)
Week Three: Abilities (What abilities will the Alolan form have?)
Week Four: Stats (How will its stats be allocated?)
Once we have all our information and artwork sorted, I'll write up an article comparing the competitive potential of both the original Pokemon and the Alolan form we create for it.
1. No Legendary Pokemon
2. You may only submit one suggestion for each poll.
3. Don't submit Pokemon native to Alola, that already possess Alolan forms or that have a Mega Evolution.
4. When submitting an ability you must submit the same number of abilities the Pokemon already possesses (including a hidden ability). These may remain the same as the original form's.
5. Whilst you can rearrange the stats of the Alola form, you cannot change the Pokemon's base stat total.
6. Try to give some reasoning for your suggestions and feel free to discuss those of other participants.
7. Have fun. Or else.
With all that out of the way, feel free to start putting some ideas forward!

How This Works
Similarly to Make-a-Mega, this will take place over a series of weeks. We'll determine the Pokemon we focus on as well as changes to type, stats and abilities through a series of polls here whilst a similar thread in Art & Design will give PC's artists the opportunity to create the design for our new Alola form. Each week will give you three days to submit suggestions and then a poll will be open for the following four days.Week One: Pokemon Choice (Which Pokemon will get a new Alola Form?)

Rules
To keep things fair and make sure we don't break the games' lore, we'll have some rules to follow.1.
