"Alright then." Cid said, quickly piling up a campfire at the, still whole, circle of stones and igniting it with a match from his pocket. He took a step back to admire the blaze for a second before unclipping the Great Ball from his belt.
"Go, Deunan!"
A chunk of ice appeared by the fire, quickly shrinking from the heat until the only thing left was a soaked and rather confused looking Dunsparce.
"Dun-spa?" (Huh? Wha-?) Deunan turned his head around in confusion, trying to discern what had happened.
Jaws walked over with the usual routine of one who had been present at such occasions countless times before. The Totodile gave a small sigh.
"Totot, too-to-dile-to-toto-too-dile. Too-toto-diiile-totodile-too-to-too-diiile-toto. Too-toto-totooodile?" (Okay, let me break it down for you. You just attacked me and the rest of our group a while back and I trapped you in a chunk of ice. See that kid over there?) he gestured towards Cid "To-totoo-dile, to-too-dile-totodile-to-totodile-to-too-totodile. Toto-totodile?" (He caught you, so now you're considered a volunteer on our little suicide mission to stop Team Viper. Any questions?)
The Dunsparce tilted his head, "Dun-spa." (Guess not) Deunan replied.
Cid decided to take this break in the conversation as a chance to introduce himself. "Okay Deunan. My name's cid and I'll be your trainer from now on. So...uh, nice to meet you."
The Dunsparce tilted his head, "Dunsparce? Duun-spa-arce-dunspa?" (Deunan? That's my name, then?)
Curly cut into the conversation as well "Ralts-raa-aal-alts?" (Don't you like it?)
"Dun, dunsparce!" (Oh, it's great!) the Dunsparce exclaimed, flapping his little wings enthusiastically "Dunspa- aarce-dun-sparce-dun! Dun-spa-aarce-dun-spaarce-dunspa! Duun-spa-rce!" (I've got a name now! I get to go on an adventure! I'm special!)
Jaws ran a hand over his forehead, "To-to, too-totodile-toto!" (Oh no, not another Dew!)
Curly chuckled, conveying the name's of the party to Deunan who accepted it enthusiastically.
"Well, he seems excited about this." Cid commented, noticing the excited manner in which the Dunsparce flapped its little wings as Curly explained things to him.
