I would sing or whistle to it, because it is such a melodious pokemon, thus being able to sing itself, it would subsequently enjoy good music.

I saw that you were gettin a little frustrated because others were replying with the same answer as you, but (sorry) I'm gonna have to agree with you there. If you sang it a soothing sorta song I reckon it would calm down easily. For a Pokemon like Swablu, I can't think of any better way.
