6th Gen Am I a good person or what?

Last week , while I was EV speed training a poke on south route 104, (macho brace on it + another good sweeper at start who can hit multi targets) , I just encountered a shiny zigzagoon (1 out of 5 in the horde , far right position) , I said OMFG , and went catch it , but guess what? It's nature was not so good , so guess what I did next? I gaveaway it to WT ! Can I join the master race of generosity now? :D

It's a pity that I didn't screenshoted in order to see it here :(


BUT , if you spot any shiny zigzagoon or linoone with OT: Bob7 & ID No. 59548 , of course it was mine :D


A bit out of topic , I just purchased via a code (digital copy to SD card) my AS , I read somewhere that I can use smartly the GTS in order to trade pokemon between my OR and AS, without the bank ( I own only one 3DS btw). Just deposit a rubbish poke , and request the poke you want from the other game , do the same in the other game too , and trade , and .... profit?

Yeah, you can do that. Just double check to make sure you're trading your other game and not accidentally trade your Pokémon away to some random person. :p

You are possibly not a good person. Your username isn't that promising. Anyway, you disliked the Pokémon's character, so you gave it away, this doesn't necessarily seem to require a thread. This is why most people do that. Perhaps catch Pokémon which you like in the future, if you can do that somehow then you might not have to give it away, if you have it.

If you imply that I should post it in a thread about shinies only , yes you have a point and I apologize for that.

But the other guy said something that sounded too offensive , like "with a nickname like that ,you go nowhere" , understand?

Well I'd say it's awesome that you sent your shiny off in Wondertrade! Granted, it's a bit of a smaller sacrifice given that it's a common Poke with a sub-optimal nature. But a shiny is a shiny and giving away a shiny is quite generous regardless ^^

Don't under-estimate the value of a shiny Zigzagoon. It could go for a pretty rare Poke on GTS (an event exclusive, for example).

And personally I don't think it'd really matter if you made a thread or posted on an existing thread, my point is you make it seem like you did it just so you could come boast about how good and generous you are. I like how I'm suddenly taken for granted as the discussion topic here. As also how your not 'seeing this' seems to contradict the rest of your post, which would imply that you did at least in part, but perhaps you'd at least get the Socrates reference if not the generic point of a throwaway reference to their username (which is in any case interesting in this context), to imply that they were talking about something quite trivial. You seem to be saying that they shouldn't be boasting about something, but it was worth boasting about, which is weird.

If someone said, 'Pikachu is useful but Charizard is a dragon,' would you assume that this was an unfair comparison because Pikachu is not a dragon.

In any case, if this thread was supposed to be about catching a shiny, then sure, but there are lots of threads about that and people doing so. That wasn't what it was about. As such, my point stands whether or not you comprehend it or the quite fluent English in which it was phrased.

One person did that explicitly. Otherwise, obviously if they had a different 'intention,' then they would have posted a different thread, for instance about whether Pearl's beginning being an endless cutscene was a decent departure for the series, and then we would discuss that, so the OP's 'intentions' are generally a discussion topic. It seems inherently weird to treat a thread like this as sacrosanct, though, as it were.

This is not only passive-aggressive, but you seem to be assuming that I'm talking about whatever it is you talk about, while I never brought up such things. It seems strange that your interlocutor did not bring up the disparity between what you said and the point made, but perhaps they are secretly ignoring you and just saying the same thing over and over again. That is how it seems, though, you understand?
