Amona: The Trails and Tribulations

The lady ushers them inside, then starts to make dinner. "What are you two doing out here? It's not often we get visitors in this woods."

Lana blinks curiously. "We, ma'am?" She glances around.

The lady laughs. "My Meowth and I dearie. We live out here all on our own."

Lana nods slowly, wondering if this lady was a team with those odd men...and she was lying...She shook the thought away. She was too nice..
 
Danny placed Nidorina on the ground and Ampahros wandered in the room. Persian strechted out on a rug and fell in a slumber.

"It is very kind of you to let us stay here for the night," Danny bowed to the woman, "May I ask you your name?"
 
She smiles, nodding. "My name is Emilia. And who are you two? And why are you all the way out here?"

Lana looks at her, bowing. "My name is Lana, and this is Danny. And we were shipwrecked here, and we kinda got lost."
 
Danny smiled at Emilia, "Emilia, earlier today we were...ambushed by these men. They wanted to take us to some guy and some town. Lana do you remember the town's name?"
 
She nods. "Honba Town."

Emilia nods. "Honba Town is the starter town in our region. You should get there tomorrow"
 
Danny returned Ampharos to his pokeball. Persian went Emilia and rubbed against her leg. "I think Persian smells your Meowth."
 
The lady laughs, nodding, giving Persian a pat on the head. "Indeed." She calls her Meowth, and it scampers in, looking at Persian.
 
Danny looked at Emilia, "So do you know those men?"

Danny tried as hard as he could in order to describe the men.
 
She thinks for a moment, then nods. "Sounds like the new Team Rocket gang that moved down here recently."

Lana growls. "Team Rocket eh?"
 
Team Rocket but we came here to escape them. Maybe they have found that we came here...

"How far is the starting town from here?"
 
"Just a few miles. I'll show you the way tomorrow." She smiles, then gives them some food. "Eat up, then you can rest"
 
Danny sat down to eat the food that Emilia gave them. He gave some to Nidorina and to his other pokemon.

"You are very kind," Danny told Emilia when he was finished.
 
She smiles. "Well, I rarely get visitors. And when I do, I try to do anything I can for them."

Lana nods. "Well you've been such a help. How can we ever repay you?"

Emilia waves it off. "No need. I'm just glad to help"
 
"So you only have a Meowth?" Danny petted the Meowth that was next to him. He wondered if she was a past trainer or has always been here in this cottage.
 
She nods. "Yes, Meowth is my only pokemon."

Meowth nuzzles Danny's hand, purring.
 
Danny got up from the table and took his plate to the kitchen sink. Looking outside the window he saw some people peering at them. He ducked from the window. His face showed the emotion that he was scared.

"Um guys there are some people outside...a lot of people..."
 
Lana stands up, eyes wide. "It must be Team Rocket!"

Emilia frowns. "Pesky kids. Cant they leave trainers alone for once?"
 
Danny turned to Emilia, "Why do they bother trainers? What do they have against Pokemon trainer?"

He grabbed his pokeballs and sent out Arbok and Ampharos.
 
Emilia shrugs. "They want their pokemon. They would rather steal them then catch them themselves."

"Espeon, I choose you!" Lana throws her pokeball, releasing her psychic pokemon. Raichu peers out the window, cheeks sparking angrily.
 
"Well I don't think so," Danny cluchted his fists together, "I will go to the second floor and attack from there. Lana attack from the ground."

Danny and his pokemon then ran up the stairs and waited for the goons to attack first.
