...Although I wouldn't necessarily call them "art" in every case.
Anyhow, hello. I've been drawing since I was old enough to hold a pen, so that's a long time. I wish people would give me some constructive criticism, so don't be afraid to point out the bad things. I'm not easily hurt, so you can say anything as long as it's not flaming.
Here we go.
The first drawings are a tad older than the others, but the quality is way better. Back then, our scanner used to work, but then my little brother blew it up. Thus, the later pics will be photos *shudder* of my drawings. They're not especially bad photos, though, but still.
Old stuff:
She's not depressed, just tired. This is an old pencil scetch I made, but I think it turned out relatively well.
Another pencil drawing. This is probably the only pencil drawing I've ever done with so much detail. Inspiration struck me while I was in England, but I finished this in Finland. It's been forever since I drew this, but I still like it. I don't really know why.
As occasional as it is, I also draw with coloured pencils. I like the colours in this a lot, but I can see a million things I could change in this picture. Overall I like it, though.
My characters:
This is Kai, from a story I've been working on for several years. He's a thief, and a flashy one at that, so he tries to dress in a way he thinks is "cool". His siblings think he's pretty stupid, and they're quite right. Kai is the protagonist of the story.
From the very same story, this is Kitsune. Her real name is ORLY-09 and she's a clone-cyborg-hybrid-whatever. She doesn't have any special powers, though: at the time of the story, she's missing her left eye and right arm and leg. So, this picture is situated before the story. Anyway, her hair is blue because it's a wig. She doesn't have any real hair and her scientist "mother" didn't want to waste money on an expensive wig, so she went for a cheap blue one.
Here we have Usa-chan and Susanne from a Pokémon parody fic of mine. Usa-chan is a mary sue bunny girl who speaks pseudo-Japanese (her name is actually Mary, but she prefers Usa-chan), and Susanne does not approve. Susanne is the protagonist, in a way, since she's the only sane character. She has kitsune ears. She does not approve of that, either.
Fanart
Temari from Naruto. Her face is a bit off. I should redraw this sometime.
Seeing as this is a Pokémon forum, I figure you all know what this is about. This was actually my first attempt in using our tablet, so it needs a small facelift. The childlike-ness is there on purpose, and although this is kind of clumsy and so on, I kind of like the mood of this picture.
Oh, yeah, and the point was to draw ctue Pokémon. It's called "Cute Invasion".
It's a woman cosplaying a gardevoir. I just felt like drawing this, don't ask why. The photo messes up the colours, but I couldn't get a better shot. Darn my brother for blowing up the scanner!
Four seasons:
I drew these to learn the kanji for all the four seasons.
Summer (Natsu, as the kanji reads). I had some trouble deciding on what colours symbolize summer, so I settled with yellow and green.
This is obviously autumn (Aki), and it's my favourite out of all the four drawings. I love the colours of autumn. A funny thing: the kanji for "autumn" is written by combining "fire" and "tree". Cool, huh?
Winter (Fuyu). My least favourite out of these drawings as well as the actual seasons. I just couldn't come up with what winter should look like, so I settled with a straight-haired blonde. She's really... umm... boring.
Spring (Haru). My favourite season, but the drawing's kind of off. I wanted to make spring a carefree character, and I guess I succeeded... But somehow, she's not as fresh as I wished.
Other stuff:
I picture I drew while watching Shakugan no Shana. The inspiration comes from Hecate, but this kid is younger. I really like this drawing for reasons I don't really understand myself. What do you think?
A random girl with the kind of clothes I'd like to wear. This one turned out just like I wanted it to ^-^ Except the hair, though.
A self-portrait. Yeah, that's me. It even looks like me, although obviously I don't look like a manga character. Also, my foot isn't bent awkwardly like in the picture. Although my Achilles tendon is not in the best condition, I still have it, so I figure a postion like that is not possible for my foot. :/
So, what'd y'all think?
