Here's where you can discuss today's "rare" appearance of an Elite Four member in today's episode, "The Bells are Bronzong!" "An Elite Meet and Greet!".

    I'll talk later.

Yeah, I just saw it it is a pretty good episode. This elite guy is pretty good, he was able to use buizel like he is been fighting alongside him for like forever. That is to be expected, after all he is a member of the elite 4

    i missed this episode!
    Man,the TV wouldn't work!
At least they will replay the episode next Saturday.

Wow, cool episode. Ohh yes, its the E4 member that I like to think was reading Harry Potter before your match *random*

    - I don't know whether it was just the uploader of the video, but the cut scene at the start was weird.
    - We haven't heard the D/P Wild Pokemon battle BGM in a while. And the updated RBY Wild Pokemon battle BGM is cool (I know it was used in the first series, but its still updated)
    - Wow, this is the first time they've made a distinction between the E4 in the anime. And how they got there etc.
    - LOL at the Croagunk/Buizel thing
    - Aww I felt sorry for Buizel
    - Yay! Kimi no Soba de! I have to celebrate everytime they play those BGM because the dub ignored Watashi, Makenai!
    - lol Elite 3. I'm too easy amused

Seriously, how many times have Team Rocket used "all" of James's bottle cap collection? Seriously, we've never seen him find ONE bottle cap but they've "used them all" about 6 or 7 times through the whole series

What was the cool BGM playing when Lucian was battling Team Rocket?

That PUSA battle music is getting on my nerves. It was just SO out of place when they were watching TV

    - We haven't heard the D/P Wild Pokemon battle BGM in a while.

Can you give me an example when/where this piece of music was played in the episode? I can't recognize it when I rewatch the episode T_T

Meh, I usually don't watch the anime unless they're fairly important episodes (or if its the episode has Shinji making an appearance) but I decided to watch this one to see how it would come out.

It wasn't horrible, I'm glad to say. Lucian's voice wasn't what I expected it to be, but after a while I got used to it. It wasn't the BEST voice, but it was pretty good on him.
Bronzong is so darn cute XD Who couldn't love that adorable hunk of plastic-y goodness?
Croagunk showing some emotion for once was gold~
Buizel being all emo after losing was cute as heck.

Wow, this is the first time they've made a distinction between the E4 in the anime. And how they got there etc.

Also foreshadows that we'll see some of them in episodes to come. I'm crossing my fingers for Flint.

Does anybody else find it amusing/irritating that EVERY SINGLE TIME they come across an e4 geezer, they act all shocked about how powerful he/she is? As if they have short-term memory loss or something and can't remember that in EVERY E4 battle they had their butts handed to them.

I know Brock was a low level gym leader in Kanto but shouldn't more people know who he is? Not really that big of a deal though...decent episode.

This was a really good episode. I mean they answer so many different things that we all wanted to know like how the E4 are picked. Still it was kinda strange to see Dawn battling Lucian but it was okies. They did a very good job on explaining why Ash didn't battle him. Is this a sign that Ash will do much better during the Sinnoh Championships? Teeheehee I guess time will only tell. They been doing a good job in bring in old information from pass episodes lately.

Is it just me or this episode would have been a good one to bring up how Ash's Charmeleon/Charizard wouldn't obey him kinda like Buizel was with Dawn.

Yeah. They have been doing a bad job on the cut scenes. I don't understand it too Jorah.

Also if I remember right when Ash Battle Agatha and her Genger, he did fairly decent against her even with a bad start. Not great but not bad compare to his battle against Drake. Still I guess we all saw that Dawn didn't stand a chance against Lucian.

    Good episode!!! Teeheehee

OMGosh, the remixed version of the Kanto Trainer Battle Theme!!!! It played when Dawn fought Lucian for the first time. That song is by far the best BGM of the show. Period. If anyone has an MP3 of it, I'd love to have it.

Okay, sorry for the outburst. Onto discussing the episode!

As many have said, I was happy for an actual explanation of the Elite Four, unlike any other time in the series. Lucian was a little different than I hoped... Guess I thought he'd be more... mysterious, or something. Eh, whatever.

I may be the only one who felt this way, but I really hated Lucian giving Buizel orders. It made me feel like Lucian was going to... I don't know... keep Buizel or something. I think it would have been better if Lucian just told Dawn about it before hand, they work on it, and THEN Team Rocket busts in.

    Speaking of Team Rocket...

Why the crap would you ever pick some n00bie's Pokemon over a Pokemon of the Elite Four? Not that they would have won either way, but that was a stupid move in my opinion.

LOL, Lucian D/Ced in the middle of the battle at the end. Ban the sore loser. :D

I finally saw this episode! i watched this morning before the new ep. aired.Lucian's voice sounded so "manly" i thought it should be you know a little elegant like Nando, but i got used to it pretty soon.
i didn't get the beginning of it,
first Dawn and him were battling, then Dawn sends out Buizel. 0_0'
My favorite part is when Buizel was having a cute little moment. It was so sad and so cute! i felt sorry for it. ^-^

Eh, it was an alright episode, that's for certain. For one, it was good that the writers FINALLY explained the situation with the Elite Four varying from region to region. Then, Dawn gets to fight an E4 member AND lose worse than Ash did against Agatha. So...ah, yes, the tough-guy faceoff. I just knew something was going to happen between Buizel & Croagunk (I think I smell a new running gag...). Later on, Team Rocket shows up, and "emo Buizel" suddenly stops pouting. ...Ladies and gentlemen, I believe we have discovered the cure for emoness. XD

Oh, and Buizel got that come-uppance it had coming since the last episode. Of course, The Elite Three got theirs as well, but Buizel deserved it more. XD

LOL, Lucian D/Ced in the middle of the battle at the end. Ban the sore loser. :D

    XD

I'm amazed that they bothered to foreshadow the Sinnoh Elite Four. Due to spoilers, we'll get one, and maybe two, if they'll follow the games. And yet, no Kanto reference? Of the sets of EFs, the Kanto one is the only lot which they were all covered. Even if it took forever to do so. Of course, I say that, as Agatha's appearance is still fresh on my mind. Heh.

To go with Reyna's observations, I think they made Dawn face Lucian, as to keep up the list of Ash plot devices she's used so far. What's next -- she's going to crossdress? He's done it twice, so if she takes that, he's got nuthin'. Heh.

And, yeah, he did alright with the Gengar, but I blame the series' wonky issues with Normal vs. Ghost attacks for the bad start. Bah. When you see plenty of Normal attacks actually work on Ghosts in the past, well, can't really blame him, can you?

Besides, I think Bronzong would have made a great doorstop for Giovanni. Even though, it reminds of that weird Aztec statue head Mr. Burns gave the Simpsons. I make weird associations. Heh.

The Only way Normal attacks would work on Ghost types would be if a Pokemon used a move like Foresight. Ex: Noctowl in Ash's fourth Johto Gym battle. Now as for the episode: Lucian appearing in this episode sorten surprized me at first. First of all what was he doing there at that P.C of all places? XD Writers >_>'. Now if Flint makes an appearance I'm set lol. Flint is hot >.> lol. Did anyone notice Ash's face when Bronzong was using Flash Cannon? It was priceless. Ash: That's a new one on me! lmao. Buizel was starting rocky in the first round but in the second round he almost won til Lucian stopped the fight lol! I mean Buizel's Aqua Jet actually hit! And he stops?! If Dawn would have won, I can see the expression on Ash's face now! Some noob trainer beats a elite four? And yet each E4 I fought, I lost too?! I quit! Lol I doubt that sceario will happen but it would definitely surprize me.

I honestly ENJOYED watching buizel not listening to Dawn, then getting murderd by Bronzong, cauz Buizel is too cocky and can think it can beat anything.
