Chapter One ~ The Journey Begins
Author's note: After finally playing Pokemon White (This is the one my story is set in) and seeing how N left my player character...(This sounds kinda pathetic but...)
.....I cried for a full five minutes. Anyway, this is the way I wanted to end, and I wanted to share it with you guys.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Silence.

It filled the room with dread, uncertainty, and remorse.

As she looked at him-her clear, icy blue eyes slightly wet-she felt immensly tired, and felt...felt a sense of longing for him. Opening her mouth to speak, she closed it suddenly and looked at her black and pink combat boots. What was wrong with her? Just because she defeated him didn't mean anything...right?

"Reshiram..." The other teen, N, stated. "Reshiram and I were beaten..."

Then, she heard a pair of footsteps behind her. Turning, she saw a man in a robe of white, beige, red, blue and brown. "N...so this is what its come to, yes? I can believe that a weak, worthless teen like you get beaten, but by her? The reason we reawakened the legendary Pokémon now was to give MY Team Plasma more power! Power to control the fearful masses!"

He paused, pacing in between both trainers. "You should've realized that I was only manipulating you to make people follow our cause...And you are my SON. You lost to an ordinary trainer! You are nothing more than a stupid, defective boy who knows nothing but Pokemon...Hmph, you should be dishonored. Don't you think, Touko?" The man, known as Ghetsis, said tiredly. His face looked bored, but his red eye flickered angrily. "Don't you think N should be eliminated for his stupid acts?"

Touko shuddered as he rolled her name around on his tongue. "I...don't agree!" Her tone of voice had shocked N and Ghetsis both. She had never looked this angry at them, even with the fact that they were her enemies. Her soft and sweet nature had made sure of this.

'Not N, not anymore...please..I want him...to be...my friend.' She thought, glaring at Ghetsis. Out loud, she called, "N doesn't have to feel dishonored! In fact he should be happy that you're disowning him! Because, who can be dishonored with a horrible father like you?"

Ghetsis simply strolled to her, unaware that she had her Samurott's Pokeball in hand. The man bodly put his hand in the air, and sent it across her face, sending her flying toward a wall. She yelped as she hit into something...soft?

Looking up, she saw that N had caught her, and made sure she wasn't hurt when he did. "Are...you okay?" He asked quietly, his green eyes locking with crystal-like blue ones orbs full of alarm. Blood suddenly rushed to Touko's face, making her look away swiftly.

"I-I'm fine, thank you for asking." She got up quickly, remembering that Ghetsis was still in front of them, watching with a smirk upon his face.

"Ah...Young love. How bitterly sweet." He held out a pokeball and out came a Hydreigon, snarling at the two. "Touko, I want you to show me...how you defeated my worthless son. Heheh...I can't wait see the look on your face when you realize you've lost all hope."

Touko looked at N and then, released Samurott. "Samurott, use Hydro Pump!"

    "Hyderigon! Use Focus Blast now!"

The next few minutes were filled with Thundershocks, commands from both the Sage and the trainer and the cries of their pokemon.

Ten mintues later, it was just down to her Samurott and his Bisharp. "Alright, Samurott, I believe in you! Use Surf!"

"Bisharp, dodge now!" But the Bisharp, couldn't comply and got hit right in the stomach, making it faint.

Everything went silent as Touko silently realized she had won. Not only over N...but over his Father...the Father that wanted to seperate all pokemon and trainers and bring the world down.

A cold wind whipped through the castle as Ghetsis glared at Alder and Cheren, who had just arrived. To N he yelled, "You are a disappointment N! I am PERFECTION! You're weak! You don't deserve the Harmonia name...or being my son nor the King of Team Plasma!" Turning to Touko he shouted, "Since I couldn't become the hero and obtain the legendary Pokémon myself... I prepared someone for that purpose-N! He's nothing more than a freak without a human heart. Do you think you're going to get through to a warped person like that?"

He turned back to N, his red eye full of rage and on the brink of insanity. "I knew this would happen from the start! Just remember! You wanted this. You choose this, N. You choose her!" He motioned to Touko roughly, who's eyes widened in pure shock and hate. He kept struggling against Cheren and Alder's grip on his arms. "I hope you realize she was just using you to become the Hero that Zekrom wanted!" He started to laugh histerically. "Just wait, she'll betray you soon! And, I won't be there to help you!"

The two escorted the mad man out, then came back, Cheren looking sadly at Touko. "You okay?" He asked, putting a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"Mmm. Just fine. Hey, is Bianca alright?" She questioned in return, making her life-long friend cringe.

"Uh...I'll go check!" He scurried out, Touko biting her lip to keep herself from chuckling. She then turned her attention to Alder and N, who where busy talking in low tones.

"So N, do you still believe Pokémon and humans should be separated?" The elder had turned, so that he Touko could listen too.

The Former King shook his head with a grim expression. "No. It was foolish of me to even follow in Ghetsis' plans. I should've known from the start what he planned to do. I guess I was too persuaded into helping my friends that I didn't even notice."

Alder grinned, his white teeth shining even in the dim sunlight. "Well, whatever you do next, you'll be the judge of that. So, you won't have to worry about anyone telling you what to do."

Touko smiled a bit, looking at both of them. "He's right. My mom worries about me all the time since I went on this journey, but she understands that I want to do this."

N nodded, shaking hands with Alder. "I hope to see both of you again." The Champion then left, walking out the room, leaving N and Touko alone for the second time that day.

"...Well...I guess...that's it, huhn?" N grabbed a pokeball off of his belt and rolled it in his hand. "Touko?"

She looked up quietly, her eyes meeting his for a third time. "Y-Yes?"

"Come." The Former King led her up a flight of stairs, stopping at the top.

"You said you had your ideals...follow them for me, okay? I need you to do this, so then, they'll be finshed and hopefully...realized. You're a wonderful person full of a beautiful truth that needs to be fullfilled. "

"N..." She smiled softly, blushing as she thought to herself. 'Whenever he looks at me...my heart...just melts...why is that? I can't...like him like that...right? He and I are two very different people.'

He then led her up another flight of stairs, a throne of gold and red waiting for them in front of a giant hole in the wall. "You also said...you had a dream. Follow it. If you do, I bet the world will become a better place even after that."

Touko blushed, scratching the back of her head. He was saying that he believed in her, right? 'Oh Arceus, let that be true.' She hoped.

He went on, "Remember when I first met you in Accumula Town? I was shocked. Shocked because your pokemon...said that they wanted to be with you. I'd never, ever met a pokemon like that. It kind of made me feel...more unsure as I continued my journey. All I kept meeting were Pokémon and people who communicated with one another and helped one another. That's why I battled you. To make sure of my beliefs. I wanted to see you, hero-to-hero. More than anything else, I needed that."

'He...He needed to see me?' Touko was blushing, hard. If N wanted to see her...did that mean what she thought it meant? No. It couldn't.

Finally, the two made their way to the throne, the wind whipping both of the trainers hair back. "No way a person like me could understand pokemon. Even if I still can. No way I could put my self to your standards when you have friends...friends that care for you."

The pokeball in his hand was thrown out the wall, and with a flash of light, Reshiram appeared one last time. "Remember, Touko! Make that dream come true! If anyone can change the world, it's you, full of your beautiful ideals. Well then...farewell!"

N swung a leg over Reshiram, and raised his hand to Touko, kind of like a small wave. He turned back...and something deep inside Touko's heart made her look down and start crying.

As if he saw her do this, the green haired teen looked over at her, seeing little clear blue drops fall from her face. "Hey...What's wrong?" He asked, looking at her as he slowly climbed back to her level.

"Oh! It-it's nothing!" Touko rubbed her eyes, embrassed. She pulled her hat over her eyes, as if to disapear under it. "It's nothing...go on."

"...You shouldn't do that. If your trying to hide yourself...it won't work against me." As quick as a Zebstrika, he took it off her head and siwtched it with his, grinning a bit. "Keep it. You'll have something to remember me by."

'Touko...it's now or never! You've got to tell him!' The girl thought, suddenly wrapping her arms around him, crying into his shirt. "That's j-just it! I-I.."

Both N and the girl were caught of guard by this sudden action, but, eventually N pet her head, still smiling. "Shh, it's okay.."

"N-no! It isn't! I-I don't...want you to leave...I-I'd miss you too much. I know this sounds...weird...coming from me, your enemy...b-but...I want to be friends. And, I don't want...you to leave me alone." Touko gasped, still crying in his shirt.

It was true. Everytime they would battle, Touko never wanted him to leave, especially after the Ferriswheel ride they took in Nimbasa. She even remembered when she had to go Bianca for help with these newly discovered emotions she had felt during the ride.

*"Oh, Touko! You're in love! I just knew it! Cheren! Our little Touko's finally in love!" Bianca had shouted, jumping up and down in glee. "I am not! Bianca! Get back here!" The girl had shouted, chasing after her.*

'Now that I think about it...Maybe I am in L...Love?' Touko now thought to herself, tears finally stopping. 'No! N would never feel the same...Would he?'

N looked at her, lifted her chin and wiped her extra tears that sat on her cheeks away. "Well, I guess....If you feel that strongly about it...then, I guess I have to stay by your side, don't you agree?"

Touko whimpered a bit, then buried her face more in his shirt again, not crying anymore. "Thank you." She sighed, not looking at him.

Finally, after holding each other for at least another five minutes, N led her to Reshiram and got on first, then helping her up. As soon as she did, she slipped her arms around his waist, holding on firmly.

This, made the former King jump in surprise, causing Touko to let go of him. "I'm sorry for startling you, if you don't want me to hold you so tight..."

"No...it's alright. I'm fine. Don't want you to fall off, now do we?" He felt his face flush as she slipped them back around him, and held on, not as tight as bfore. "Reshiram...let's go."

'What is this feeling?' He thought as Reshiram flew off. 'It makes me feel...warm inside...and yet...I'm even more warmed up...when Touko looks at me, or when she smiles...or when she cried into my chest. It feels kind of...pleasant. I wonder...I'll have to ask her later.'

"So, N, where do you wanna go first?" Her voice pierced through his thoughts, making him grunt softly.

"Maybe...Well, may I meet your mom?" He asked politely, staring ahead into the sunset.

"Sure! I mean...yeah. She would love to meet you. And I was meaning to go back home to see Cheren and Bianca soon after I defeated the Champion...Which I haven't, but still..." Her voice drifted off as she looked into the sunset, following his gaze. The sun had turned orange, and the sky above it was filled with many shades of red and purple. "Wow...It's so pretty tonight..." Her head rested on his shoulder, making him blush a little bit harder.

"Yes...it is very pretty." N whispered. 'Just not as elegant and beautiful as you, Touko.'

-Author's note 2: Ah, that went better than I thought. And, I know, it wasn't exactly like the ending of Pokemon Black and white...in my defense, I did my best though!
And I used The ending of Pokemon W. as a base, since I started over recently. Anyways, I feel like making another chapter soon.
