Nyayayayayaya. >:3 I see that my post went over as I expected it to.

-wants to see Valen all mad- XD See, I visulize it as this. =3 Valen is a fluffy kitty person. He's all ">> Grr stay away from me" and he's all adorable in doing so. -nodnod- Well, then he gets all mad. v.v And he goes POOF and turns into a big bootiful puffball. :3 That's hissing and spatting an stuff. Kinda like somebody's cat that got run through the dryer like... six times.

No, that's not the real reason Kyoko did what she did. xp Part of it, yes but not all of it. Also, I've got a bad cold/slight influenza. -nodnod- I'm typing from my laptop on the nice fluffeh couch. (Wireless internet is teh bomb at times like this) But I may not be around after mah post. :o Cuz I /really/ need to get better as Spring Break is next week and I dun wanna do HOMEWORK all break. >.> That would seirously suck.

On Alter's posting: I've shown it to like, Sephychen and Daixen and they both rolled on the ground (THE LITERAL GROUND) in laughter. xD It's creepy yes, but it was so well done. v.v -hands cookies to Alter- Congrats for making even a hospital bed a weapon of mass destruction.

Teh Quotes from my real life friends:

"It made me want to go beat up Sam with a bed post. A SHARP bedpost. With a CareBear on it!" - Sephychen

"o_O; Mika... you got some werid friends." - Katie

"o.o; I didn't know nightstands could kill...." - Maggie

"Hey, think that whole nightstand thing'll work on a burgler?" - Cinna

And I just got Wild Arms 4 yesterday. -drools- That game is teh pwnage. >3

-yawns- I'll post IC in a moment. -goes to get food- @_@

Erm... more like a fluffy kitty person that turns into a vicious lion that has been possessed by a young Voldemort. x____x

Heehee! I have nothing to post!! *dies* Okay, so I was bored and felt like commenting on Mika's pointless OOC with a pointless OOC of my own. Once Kogenta *pokes Kogenta* or Alter *pokes Alter* post again, I shall make a much less pointless post. ^-^

BTW Mika, your friends made me laugh. ^^

[OOC: ::has been poked:: I feel rather far behind . . . o_O I apologize regarding my absence.

As to Alter Ego's infamous post of violence, would it be considered strange if I had thoughts of such things under normal circumstances (i.e. injuring someone behind me by lowering the back of my carseat, accidently stabbing myself in the stomach as I walk down the stairs with a mechanical pencil . . . )? ::cough:: In any case, I found your post rather enjoyable, Alter Ego. Thank you.]

Even as the nurse entered the room, Chain turned toward the door--preparing to leave before his departure was again demanded. However, as the tension in the room continued to escalate, he felt himself pause. Being the only neutral party in the room, excluding the nurse, he somehow felt it his responsibility to remain long enough to assure that no deaths would occur. Finally, as the nurse left--later followed by Kyoko, Rosairie, and Silence who left their own forms of spiteful comments--Chain again began to prepare to leave.

It was by no clear reasoning that Chain acted next as he did. Facing away from Valen and Reina, the trainer removed a mini-disc from his pocket. Raising his wrist before him, he murmured, "Circuit, burn the information regarding Omicron onto the disc." From the angle of the others, it would appear that Circuit's presence was being projected from the Premier Ball hanging from Chain's neck, and that he was raising his hand merely to activate the object.

The task was done within seconds. Turning as Reina addressed him, Chain nodded before tossing the mini-disc toward her. "If you two want to know more about Omicron, that disc might help. Just don't get caught with it."

Without another word, Chain opened the door to the room and slipped outside into the hall. Closing the door gently behind him, his gaze tilted toward Rosairie and Silence--both now at an equal height relative to the ground. Suddenly, offering no context to define the nature of his question, Chain quietly asked, "Do you regret it?"

{ooc| *bites Mika* I was slaving away defeating the pokemon league, and you don't even wait for me to come online! *wipes away a tear*

*snuggles Melissa* YES! Thank you! I've been saying that Monty Python is the best for years but no one seems to notice me. And.... does the BBC broadcast over there? OMG. You lot, if a drama called 'life on mars' ever comes on, watch it, it is BRILLIANT. *gets squashed by a giant foot*}

Rosairie glanced up at Chain's words. She licked her lips, biding her time. She knew what he meant. After her display in there, how could she not? Rosairie banged her fist against the floor irritably. Silence skittered away in shock, and went to crouch behind Chain.
"'Course I do. 'Course I bloody well do..." she pulled her skirt down a bit more, rearranged her jumper and ran a hand through her hair; these vain actions seemed to calm her, because when she looked back to Chain she could actually meet the boy's eyes. "I mean, I'm glad I helped him. That Reina... I mean, she's nice and all but she was in a state. He probably would have bled to death, or at least got anemia.... I regret telling him, though. He's probably gonna think he's tainted now or something."
Rosairie sighed heavily, and hugged her egs to her chest. Despite her boots, she was beginning to fel cold out of the sunshine.

Fine. ~.~ Bite me when I just needed some sleep. ;; And pointless OOCs are GOOD some times. ;.;

:3 I love Monty Python. The History of the F Word, The Holy Grail's Black Knight and the Holy Grail's Monks AND the Knights of Ni.... Ah... the wonders of Monty Python.... -squees- It's such an amazingly awesome. :333

Anyways yeah. My IC post stinks butt but I feel like crap. T_T So it's an IC and it's not as bad as a Kakashi post. xp

Kyoko giggled, padding over to Rosairie and Chain without really noting the situation immediatly, "I betcha he's really ticked. I sure showed him." The smirk on her face was anything but innocent, "That outta teach him to be a jerk." Giggling almost satanicly once more, she stopped mid sentance, her color draining, "Oh... no..... He didn't...." the look on Rosairie's face answered her unended question, "....I'm... I'm..." Stepping backwards, she shook her head several times before hanging it in shame. "I-I-I....I didn't mean to... Please don't... don't hate me...."

Her body took over. Dropping to her knees, she rocked back onto her heels, head kept in a very submissive position, "I'm sorry for my foolish childish actions." Lowering herself further, her forehead very ungraciously touched the floor as her hands rested just above her now prostrate figure, her hair flowing over her head, "Please forgive my actions... I was irresponsible and caused you pain... and for that I'm... sorry. If... you can't forgive me, I'll completely understand. I... don't deserve it"

"It made me want to go beat up Sam with a bed post. A SHARP bedpost. With a CareBear on it!"

Now that is a weapon of mass destruction. o.o And of course nightstands can kill, I mean, rocks can fly as long as you get em' on a catapult first, right? Well nightstands can kill if you just get them into the hands of Valen first, and besides, if a ballpoint pen can become a popular murder weapon (Widely favoured by proffessional assassins actually, one stabb in the eye kills by blood poisoning alone.) and coconuts kill more people a year than sharks, then why couldn't nightstands be lethal weapons too? And yes, I'm weird, and nothing you say can change that. xD

And pointless thought it is, your OOC made me laugh, Mika. xD Not in the literal rolling on the floor sense, mind you, but still. ^^

Oh, and Monty Python does rule, although I think I've already said that before. Holy Grail and Life of Brian are my favourites, and I've got them both on DVD too, yay! ^^

IC:

Noticing Reina's reaction, Valen couldn't help feeling glad about his decision, strange though that feeling was for him, and his expression brightened just a little as he listened to her words, especially the last part. Actions over words, yes, that was the way he prefered to judge people too, but what if she knew about his actions? His past? He had been betrayed and hurt repeatedly, yes, but he had also hurt, and in a certain sense also betrayed, others, and that was what concerned the boy most. At the moment, Reina probably felt that it was she who had been the most dishonest party in this, but wasn that really anything compared to the sheer magnitude of what he, Valen, was hiding from her? A member of Team Viper, a thief, a criminal...he had never been concerned by dragging any of these titles onto himself before because those he cared about all knew of them and accepted them, but would Reina? They had been through a lot, but at the same time...they had only known each other for about a day...no, no-one could trust that fast, learn that fast...no-one could learn so much at once and still remember what Valen himself was like, not the proffessional pokémon snagger Valen, but the real him...he couldn't help brooding over the prospect, although he did his best not to show it. Humans fear what they can't control... he repeated in his mind, Does that mean that I'm afraid of my own feelings? the boy would probably have grimaced had he not been aware of the fact that he had company, being afraid of your own feelings was just one of those corny old phrases that amateur psychologists and sappy novel writers liked to use, it wasn't like he feared himself, or any part of himself, after all, except...the thought of his rage struck him once again, but he decided to push it away for the moment, concentrating on answering Reina's words instead.

"I think...I know what you're talking about." he replied, nodding, "I guess you understood what you had gotten yourself into but thought that things would get even worse if you told me afterwards, right? I know that's the way I feel about-" he cut himself off in mid-sentence, unable to continue, "No, never mind that last bit." he concluded, shaking his head and quickly busying himself with ripping up the crumpled letter in his hand before scanning his environment for something to toss the shreds in, "Where's a trash can when you need one, anyway?"

It was a terribly weak and cowardly switch, this the boy knew, and he felt angry at himself. Partially for bringing the subject up himself and partly for not having the guts to go through with it. Reina was no idiot, she would surely catch on to the fact that there was something important behind his outburst, but without specifcation, she could get it wrong, horribly wrong, and the result would be all the worse. Not wanting to end up having to choose between different bad alternatives he chose to try avoiding the subject altogether, busying himself all the more with his search for a trash can.

OOC: Oh Carebears... what indignities they must suffer in Alter's cruel, cruel mind. ;____; They just wanna hug you and love you, you know! Don't you know that they're the butt of everyone's jokes? Don't you know that people write fanfiction about them? Don't you know they LOVE YOU! XD

Okay yeah... I think I'm done with the sarcasm. ^-^ Yeah, Alter, I perfectly understand your negative feelings towards the Carebears. As said before, I only like them because I grew up watching them when I was little. :3 *has Tenderheart, Cheer Bear, Beadtime Bear, Good Luck Bear, Wish Bear, and Grumpy Bear plushies at home* *and figurines* *and old coloring books* *and an old video of the cartoon* *and ... maybe I should stop so Alter doesn't take me off his friends list XD* Yeah whatever, so I get a little obsessed about things. >___>

Anyway... cheers to Monty Python! ^-^ And I dunno about what else is on the BBC channel we get... I shall look into it Charon!!

Reina
---------------

Reina was glad to see that Valen's expression was considerably better than it had been a short time ago, for it made her a little less nervous. At least he had forgiven her and she could learn from it and move on. She wouldn't forget her mistake though-- it was one that she truly despised. As Valen then began to comment on Reina's motives, she nodded slightly. He was right about that.

When he ended his speaking mid-sentence though, Reina blinked. What was that about? What was it that he felt that way about...? Reina stopped herself from wondering though; it was none of her business. She never pressed people to convey their inner fears or history to her, that was something personal. Besides, unless it had some direct bearing on the present, what was the point in knowing? Times change, and even though Reina was sure that some people never changed a good deal of them did over time. To forget about thinking on someone's past was usually very easy for Reina. However, since she had met Valen this seemed to become harder and harder to do. Such is the case when you care for someone and want to know them, but Reina had never had a friend before aside from her brothers whose pasts she knew of already. She forced herself to ignore Valen's slip-up for the moment; he had been through enough today, he didn't need her getting curious about his past. It didn't seem like something he wanted to talk about anyway.

She nodded again, "Yeah... that was how I felt. It was a stupid mistake. I think a trash can's on the other side of the room by the way." She paused, thinking for a moment.

"Oh! I almost forgot. There was so much drama going on that it was practically wiped from my mind," she paused again, beginning to feel a bit akward, "I, er, wanted to thank you for what you did earlier. You know... the making me duck to get away from that Aggron's tail? Yeah, Tabansi said that I should thank you, but then I told him that I could have done it without your help, but... then I realized that I probably couldn't have. I was too stunned to react so fast. So, uh, thanks." She shook her head to herself, "Aw listen to me! I sound so... mushy. Oh well, maybe in the morning I'll be back to my usual self." She smiled, thinking of what she must look like, all nervous and sentimental. Her father would have had a good laugh right about now.

A feminine voice on the intercom for the hospital suddenly sounded. "Visiting hours are now over. All visitors must now leave for the night if you please."

"Hm... guess that's my cue," Reina said, glad that she at least got a chance to sort this Rosairie junk out.

OOC: Figured it was about time for the visiting hours to be up. ^^

{ooc| I always hated carebears. I was very much a 'Ninja Turtles/Biker Mice from Mars/Super Mario Show/Thomas the tank engine' child. What a wonderful mix of cultures!}

Rosairie lunged forward suddenly and wrapped her arms around Kyoko. "Don't be silly, Kyo!" she gasped, almost shocked at so happy to blame herself Kyoko was. Rosairie was used to her friends lying, trying to pass the buck, doing anything to avoid blame. Here was Kyoko, apologising for something she hadn't even done!

"Look, he didn't hurt me or anything, it's just his gross attitude towards us! He acts like we're stupid blonde bimbos, or something!"
She paused, waiting for Henna's motherly reprimand - 'but you are a blonde bimbo, my darling, just a very sweet one' or soemthing along those lines, but nothing came. Rosairie felt very feeble, without her muscle-bound magmar by her side. Very vunerable.

She paused, as the intercom pitched in. Rosairie pursed her lips at the message.
"Brilliant, Valen's little lapdog Reina will come trotting out any second now..." she muttered bitterly.

[OOC: My family once had a tape of the Carebears movie . . . Then, we taped over it with something else.]

Chain said nothing, merely slipping his hands into his pockets as he listened to the rather emotional dialogue that passed between Rosairie and Kyoko. Then, tilting his head upward slightly as he heard an announcement, the trainer removed a hand from one of his pockets to run it through his dark bangs. Seemingly ignoring Rosairie's most recent comment as he turned toward her and Kyoko, he gave slight nod. "We should go," he stated simply.

Without waiting for a response, Chain returned his hand to its pocket and started away before suddenly pausing, as though remembering something. Glancing back over his shoulder, he commented in a rather detached, indifferent manner, "Judging others comes easily. If only forgiveness were as simple."

Having spoken his thoughts, Chain allowed a brief, odd--almost regretful--smile to flit across his features before resuming his course down the hallway. Moving past the elevator, he instead selected the door that bore the sign "Stairs", opened it, and stepped through.

EIGHT MORE DAYS TO KINGDOM HEARTS 2

FRIGGEN DAYS

-IC-

"I... I should... apologize..." She looked towards Valen's door with a slight blush before shaking her head and standing up, her hand tightly attached to Rosairie's wrist, "Let's go... kay?" She smiled her sweet little smile once again and headed after Chain, waving her free arm at him almost madly, "Hey wait for us please! Please, just a sec, we're cooooooooooooming!" Turning back to Rosairie, she nodded as reassuringly as she could before the child began to pull the older girl along towards the stairs, "Heeeey Chain-sempai! How far down do we gotta go?"

She couldn't go back and apologize. It wouldn't make any difference. She'd set him off... and part of her didn't regret it. The sheer second Shuppy let it drop that she and Rosairie had been left out, her emotions took hold of her. It wasn't much of an excuse; it wasn't one at all. Stupid stupid... I keep letting them get the best of me... I can't control myself when I get angry... I can't get angry, I can't get sad, I have to be happy. Always happy. If I'm always happy... nobody can find my faults. She rubbed her forehead softly, I can't let them see me. I can't open the lid on my memories, my emotions... I can't open it ever. If I do... She paused once or twice to giggle at something random, like a pink piece of ducktape on the stairwell, so as not to give her thinking away and were as before, her change in emotions had been visible, she wasn't showing it so easily now, "Can we goooooo?"

{ooc| Mika, are you at school?
I got songs I wanna send ya. Brit-rock. Which I think you'd like. Ya.}

Rosairie glanced up as Chain spoke.
"Judging others comes easily. If only forgiveness were as simple," he had said. The girl watched him for a moment. She wanted to call out to him - ask him about himself, his life, his experiences - but something stopped her. There was a barrier between her and Chain; she and Kyoko were on one side, and he was on the other.

She got to her feet, just as Kyoko started apologising again. "Kyoko, you don't have to apologise! Seriously!"
She followed the younger girl as she bounced down the stairwell, giggling almsot maniacly at the stupidest things - like a piece of pink duct tape. Henna's words came back to her, strangely clear; 'They act that way to cover up their lonliness, that's all' - was that what Kyoko was doing? Barely a minute ago, Kyoko had been desperately sad, and now she was acting....well, like a doll.
Maybe that's what Valen and Reina are doing too? She pondered. Naaaah. They're just mean.

Pausing at the entrance to the stairs, Chain held the door open for Rosairie and Kyoko, replying to the pink-haired girl as the pair drew near. "At the moment, I don't know. Probably just as far as the Pokemon Center." After Kyoko and Rosairie had passed him, he turned and followed them as quietly as the white-washed, steel steps would allow. Tilting his head in an almost curious manner, he observed the other two trainers. However they may act, both of them are obviously troubled. The older one, Rosairie . . . She seems to be deep in thought, though perhaps still trying to be an "older sister" to the younger. As for Kyoko, her emotions are too extreme to be natural--particularly under the circumstances. It seems almost as though she is desperate to be happy.

Chain shifted his gaze to one side, though his expression remained otherwise unchanged. It's none of my business, though. And, I doubt either one of them would appreciate me prying beneath their masks. Upon reaching the ground floor, Chain stepped past Rosairie and Kyoko, knocked his elbow against the crash bar, and lightly kicked the door open. Stepping out into the lobby, he then shifted his weight toward the door--holding it open as he waited for the others.

"We're going to the Poke-Center, going to the Poke-Center~" Giggling softly, she skipped back Chain, stopping at the stairs and looking down the massive set, "How many floors was it again? Thank yew for holding the door open by the way!" Not waiting for a response, she took off down the stairs, skipping every other one with a little childish hop. She would prove she was a pleasent nice kind person. Even if they were laughing at her, people would still be around her and she wouldn't be alone. Brushing her hair from her eyes, she turned back towards the others from the small platform a little ways down, "Come on you sillies!"

"Right." Valen replied simply, nodding as Reina directed him to the trash can and feeling considerably relieved that she hadn't chosen to push the matter on. But at the same time, tyhe boy still felt guilty for not telling her, not to mention the fear of how he was supposed to keep this up in the future. Reina seemed to be patient in these matters, certainly, but there was always a limit to patience, and eventually she would most probably demand an explanation. And even if Reina didn't, Valen suspected that his own thoughts would drive him crazy before that. Conscience...was there any more deficient and misguided aspect of the human mind?

The boy forced his attention away from these musings as Reina spoke up once again, this time sounding rather unsure of herself as she thanked him for what he had done earlier. Thanked him...Valen could hardly remember the last time someone had really thanked him for anything, not that he was one to jump through someone else's hoops for the sake of some symbolic pat on the head or anything, but it was still a pleasant suprise to hear such things. That didn't prevent it from being a tad awkward, though. What was he supposed to say? He didn't want to start bragging about it, no, that was the way for pompous and self-centered gits like JJ, and saying that it was nothing struck him as terribly pretentious. Luckily, Reina had offered just the opportunity for moving along;

Valen permitted himself a slight smile, "That makes two of us, I guess." he remarked, shaking his head, "But yes, let's hope that it's just the lack of sleep and not Rosairie getting to us." he grimaced slightly at the thought, just as the intercom suddenly came to life, announcing that visiting hours were over.

"Yeah, I suppose it is." Valen replied to Reina's statement, nodding, "Oh, and I'd better take care of this, by the way." he added, suddenly remembering the disc Chain had left them with and picking it up, "Even if they catch me with it I can just say that I confiscated it from someone else." the boy carefully pocketed the object, making sure that it was properly out of view, "Take care, then." he added, "And look out for rampaging Aggrons."

*shakes head at the Carebear hatred* It's people like you lot that make the Caring Meter's needle plummet. XD Whatever, with your hatred you miss out on flights in Cloudcars and rides on Rainbow Rollers. Your loss! ^_____^

I also watched the Ninja Turtles, and Thundercats, which were very high-violence shows, when I was pretty young. I also adored Darkwing Duck, which in my opinion was one of the more violent of Disney's cartoons. It's kinda weird... I'd be watching hugs and love in one show, then switch to people getting shot/beat up in another. ^-^ Oh yeah! Cheers for variety!

Reina
--------------

Ick, Reina hoped that Rosairie wouldn't ever rub off on her. That was a disturbing thought. She smiled as she headed for the door to Valen's room, picturing what her own frightened face must have looked like as that rampaging Aggron had been in her field of view.

"Yeah, I'll be sure and do that," she said, "You take care too. Hopefully you can get some decent sleep in this place, though if it was me, I'd probably never get sleep in a place like this. I guess I'll head to the Pokemon Center and hopefully not run into Rosairie again. See ya' later." Reina then headed out of the room, finding herself wondering if she really would see him later. After all, there was no guarantee that they would meet up with each other. Reina still felt confident though that she had certainly not seen the last of him; this whole business with the robed men was far from over, and she doubted anyone would be able to leave until it was sorted out. She was "involved" now, there was no turning back.

As Reina walked down the hallway, she looked ahead of her and noticed the door to the stairs closing, an unearthly cheery, loud, and still obnoxious voice of Kyoko coming from behind it. Reina suddenly told herself to get down to the first floor using the elevator; she didn't want to face those two girls again. She was tired of dealing with them, and she didn't want to see their gloating faces that probably said "Look! We ticked off Valen and Reina! Aren't we smart?!" Plus, she really didn't want to break any bones in her healing hand by punching one of them in the face.

{ooc| OMG! Darkwing Duck was amazing! 'I am the terror that flaps in the night, I am the being that pecks at your nightmares!' Or whatever it was...}

Rosairie headed down after Kyoko, Silence still trotting by her heels. She walked through the door, stepping past Chain. "Thank you." she muttered, remembering her manners. After all, he was holding the door for her.
Silence gave a little whine as Kyoko continued to shout, and he stepped closer to Rosairie's side. The girl glanced down at her pokemon, then back at her friend, a look of concern on her face.
"Kyoko, calm down." Rosairie whispered catiously. "We don't want to attract any unwanted attention, remember? I'm still not happy about this place..."

OOC: You watched Darkwing too?!!! OMG! *grabs Charon and dances around with her* That show is like my all-time absolutely no-doubt-about-it favorite cartoon ever!!! *dies* Yeah... um, I get a little too excited about Darkwing... I wish they'd frickin' come out with the show on DVD... they did Ducktales and Rescue Rangers... WTF Disney?! T_T

That's it, now I HAVE to make an avvie/banner combo with Darkwing on it. Teehee. >=)

Oh bugger... well, I was gonna post an IC, but I have to run off to meet up with my brother for lunch. Sorry Alter! I am guilty of pointless OOC's again!!! XD

[OOC: I vaguely recall seeing a few episodes of Darkwing Duck. My sister was more active in watching it than I was, though . . . ]

Allowing the door to swing closed after Rosairie and Kyoko had entered the lobby, Chain turned to follow them. Striding forward until he walked evenly with Kyoko, he raised a hand before placing it firmly atop the young girl's head. Though his hand was heavy and somewhat awkard, it almost contained a slight undercurrent of a brother's affection. "Rosairie's right," he told Kyoko quietly. Then, after a brief, yet thoughtful pause, he added, "Besides, you don't need to act as though you're required to be happy all the time. You're not a computer program with its limitations, so be human and live."

Removing his hand from Kyoko's head, Chain's gaze returned toward the hospital's front entrance. If I remember correctly, there should be a Pokemon Center a few blocks from here . . . I wonder if they'll be as busy as the hospital.

[OOC: I should probably post in Mutation Wave soon . . . :: sigh :: I feel too tired to think comprehensively, though . . . ]

As Reina left with a final 'See you later', Valen quietly proceeded to dump the remains of Kyoko's letter into the trash can, finding himself at a loss about what to do. With his recent nightmare still all too clear in mind, the boy really didn't fancy sleeping much, especially with all of the other things going on in his mind. Kyoko's downright assault on him, what was with that letter anyway? And what 'other bussiness' did she refer to? Bah, what did it matter? It was probably just shopping or crying or being annoying or whatever it was that pesky brats like her did in their free time. Valen satt down on the bed again, leaning his head against his hands. There was the next issue...Rosairie and her supposed 'rescue' of him...the boy grimaced at his own knees, trying to picture Rosairie helping someone who wasn't small and annoying with a fondness for heart-covered envelopes...it just didn't fit. Well, Reina did say that Rosairie hadn't helped that much...more like butted in, so there wasn't much point in bothering with it. She had owed him for the Poochyena situation anyway, and besides, if that snobbish brat hadn't wanted him to know that she had had any hand in the matter then he might as well act as if he hadn't found out, better for all conncerned.

So what remained then, he wondered, there was the question of whether or not he should tell Reina, of course, but that...he couldn't sort it out now, not when he was so drained from everything else that had happened. Later... the boy told himself firmly, I'll deal with it later... he laid back, allowing his body to fall down on the bed beneath him, even though it wasn't exactly the most comfortable one around, before he reached back into his pocket and proccured the final problem, twirling the disc tentatively in his right hand, the rays of sunlight still visible from outside reflecting of its surface.

Project Omnicron, eh? he thought for himself, I should really turn it in but... a flicker of amusement flashed across his face, They should have told me all about my background now, shouldn't they? What goes around comes around... he quickly pocketed the disc again. It was a rather daunting feeling...here he was with one of the countless secrets that Slythe was keeping from him in the palm of his hand, and yet he couldn't learn anything from it because he had been confined to a hospital room like some invalid. Who knew? The project might have included someone from his past, or even a reason for his rage...but he couldn't risk sneaking out to find a computer. No, that would be a foolish and pointless risk to take. That whitecoat had promised that he could go tommorow, he'd just have to wait until then. The boy gave a bored sigh, waiting...what a gyp.

OOC: *huggles Kogenta's sister* Yayness! More Darkwing fans! ^0^

Reina
------------------

"Oh... so sleepy... where in the heck is this place?!" Reina grumbled, finally out of the hospital, but truly at a loss as to where to find the Pokemon Center. Normally she'd be looking forward to the adventure of wandering about, but she was tired, drained, and knew that the only thing she would enjoy now was a nice bed.

A thought occured to her, perhaps she should let out one of her pokemon. Not Pixie, she was probably unconscious from the poisoning earlier. Then there was Tabansi, but he couldn't fly well, and he was too slow on his feet to keep up with Reina's stride. That left only one other pokemon, and since she said she had wanted to talk to Reina anyway, she might as well comply.

"Phoebe, out," she said lazily, tossing the already scuffed ball to the ground.

A flash of white light, and the large fox pokemon stood before Reina, her hazel eyes giving off a strange glow. {Reina?} she said in her soft, echoing voice.

"We've gotta find this darn Pokemon Center Pheobe, and you wanted to talk to me?" the girl answered back, beginning to walk briskly again in the direction she guessed was the Pokemon Center.

The pokemon followed her, gazing at her intently all the while, {Why yes, I did say that didn't I? I just wanted to check up on you really.}

Reina frowned, she didn't really understand why Phoebe kept checking up on her, why the pokemon was so concerned, and why she even joined up with her. She didn't like being left in the dark about people's motives, so she knew she had to clear this up fast.

"Why are you here? Why do you care about what happens to me? I mean, what pokemon like yourself just walks up to some girl and wants to join up with her? Not to mention, the tournament's over... so, what are you doing here still?" she said throwing on a suspicious look.

{Ah... I figured as much. I suppose I should come out with the truth,} the pokemon said, not appearing to be bugged by Reina's questions, which could either mean that she was sincere, or was very good at deception, {I once belonged to your mother.}

"My mother?!" Reina said with surprise, "But she didn't have any pokemon! Plus wouldn't you be really old or something?"

{She did, but just me,} the furry pokemon said calmly, {When she died... I left. I had no wish to stay around anyone else. I know I seem perfect, as Tabansi was kind enough to point out, but I'm far from it. I used to be cold and aloof as a child, and the only person that could really understand me was your mother. She was the only person I ever cared about, and when she died, I had no reason to stay. Oh, about the age question, Ninetails live for a long time, sometimes a hundred years.}

"So why help me if you only liked my mother?" Reina said, choosing to ignore the sudden feeling of guilt that had welled up inside her. Her father told her never to feel guilty about her mother's death, she had to shake it off.

Phoebe sighed, {I wandered about for years after your mother's death. But, when I ended up near Shoretown again, I saw you there. You were about eleven, and I saw how much you looked like your mother. It was as if in dying, she had given you a part of her. So I watched you from afar for quite some time.}

"Okay," Reina said, feeling a little violated, she didn't enjoy being spied on, but she figured there was no use in worrying about it now.

{In that time I learned to like you and Tabansi and even little Pixie. So that is why I felt so comfortable when talking to you three. I won't trust others so easily though,} the fox said, sounding as if she had a certain person in mind for the last part.

"Who? Valen? I know that's who you're thinking of," Reina countered, guessing what the pokemon was thinking.

Phoebe shoook her head a little. {I just think you should be careful, he has been courteous to you so far, but I have a feeling that he is not always so kind. If you made him angry... he might not hesitate to hurt you,} the pokemon said in a grave tone.

The street they were walking up suddenly became more populated, pokemon trainers and others all walking one way or leaving from that way. The Pokemon Center must have been up ahead. This was good, as it was already dark, and Reina didn't like walking around a strange place with injured pokemon in the dark.

"Why would I make him angry? Look, you make it sound like I can't take care of myself! I've fought people before; girls and boys! I've run into bad people before, and I've come out okay. Besides, what makes you think you know him? Because you've seen his 'type'? You're as bad as everyone else, always judging on appearance, on what you think they might do. You don't know a person until you know them!" Reina said, getting quite tired of having to defend her position on this. Of course, she was guilty of this too, judging Rosairie and Kyoko based on their appearances.

{I'm sorry. When I saw you that day for the first time, I vowed to your mother that I would protect you. I will do everything in my power to do that so forgive me if I seem overprotective,} Phoebe finished, {I still don't like or trust that boy, and I will continue to voice my doubts even if you wish me not to.}

Reina sighed, "Fine. I know you just want to help me, but I don't like taking advice. Ah... here's the Pokemon Center, you'd better return." She lifted her hand and before Phoebe could utter a goodbye, the fox pokemon was sucked up by the red light.

It had been a long day, and Reina didn't want to argue with anyone anymore. She just wanted to sleep. If Chain or Rosairie or Kyoko, even JJ, were around this place, she was just going to ignore them and hit the hay.
