Okay, so, at the moment in my Emerald team, I have two pokémon(FYI my pokémon are only allowed to evolve at lv.30+, and a 2nd time at lv.60+, so yeah, nfe pokémon vs. Elite Four!)
Current Team (of two)
*bulbagarden.net image removed*
Species: Treecko
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Overgrow
Level: 17
Moves: Bullet Seed / Pursuit / Absorb / Quick Attack
*bulbagarden.net image removed*
Species: Taillow
Nature: Naughty
Ability: Guts
Level: 14
Moves: Wing Attack / Growl / Focus Energy / Quick Attack
I've currently got the Pokénav after defeated Roxanne, and rescuing the Devon Goods (which I have now been entrusted with) twice.
Planned Team (of two)

Species: Sceptile
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Overgrow
Level: Not applicable
Moves: Detect / Dragon Claw / Giga Drain / Brick Break
I just chose these moves because they're cool, I know nothing about how to battle in Gen III.

Species: Swellow
Nature: Naughty
Ability: Guts
Level: Not applicable
Moves: Facade / Steel Wing / Aerial Ace / Endeavour
I chose these moves for reasons, Aerial Ace is the best I've got, Steel Wing provides variety enabling me to hit rock and ice-types. Facade works well in conjunction with Guts, and Endeavour takes advantage of his frailty by severely weakening anything unfortunate enough to be unable to finish him off.
Pokémon Previously Considered (still options)
I only really have a few rules about my pokémon team:
- No Salamence / Metagross. They're obtained to late in-game to be of use before the Battle Frontier.
- No pokémon of the same type, as I want variety (Sableye is an exception, as he adds no further weaknesses, other ghost / dark-types may be used alongside him)
- No egg moves / breeding.
- 5 out of 6 must be obtainable pre-Mossdeep City.
- They must be Generation III Pokémon, so no Alakazam / Machamp (not that I could get them past the Kadabra / Machoke stage anyway)
So...any help? This is....help planning my team, but also telling me whether or not they're currently on track (Treecko and Sceptile).
