Anime Coordinator Discussion

Harley was my favorite coordinator of all time. I didnt like how they always had gay jokes on him though. Hes fabulous and they never let him win(that we saw).
 
I wonder why they made him dress as may though...did he really have to do that? lol...though I have to admit it was a really good twist...
 
That was funny and expressed his sense of humor. It was meant to rattle her.

I agree...with Drew, he was a REALLY good coordinator, but the first time he was shown in the anime, he seemed really stuck up didn't he? until later on, he was more mellow...
 
Su. I kinda like how Harley had that evil sounding music whenever he would appear. Teeheehee Like at the last few minutes of that clip.

I think somebody else like Dogasu said this but really Dawn is lacking some intresting rivals. I mean May's rivals were intresting and a bit gimically but really they were coolies. Dawn's are just kinda boring and not that intresting to watch. I like Dawn's contests but the only rival I find myself intrested in is Jessie.

Also I have notice that they don't really focus too much on the appeals of Dawn's rivals too.
 
My favourite coordinator is most definitely Harley. He's also my favourite character in Pokemon altogether. ^_^
I also like Jessie as a coordinator, 'cause she's just awesome.
I love Fantina's style, too.
Dawn is pretty cool. She's got some interesting combinations and appeals, and what people have said about her needing more interesting rivals is right. What I would love to see is Harley versus Dawn... That would be awesome! =D

You could probably look on Serebii's episode guide, and find out which ones he was in. I miss the Hoenn contest episodes, I actually wanna watch 'em again myself.


I'm not sure I can pick a favorite Coordinator, I just really like watching Contests in general, regardless of whose up against who. Except Harley is definately up there as one of my favorites, same with May. I feel bad for saying that Dawn isn't really a favorite of mine, though. :/
 
When do you think we'll ever get to see more of Kenny and his pokemon, and what's the whole thing with DEEDEE? do u think we'll ever get to know the story behind that?

Probably. We see enough of Jesse/James as kids. I actually liked him as a coordinator but his character design was boring.

Well, maybe. Some speculate that Dawn will take over the show and i she does May may be seen again.
 
I highly think may will be seen again as well...I think they might have may seen again when ash and co. are somewhere else and may is competeing in sinnoh by then...u think?
 
Does anyone expect Piplup to ever evolve? I want to see Empoleon in contests.
 
No. Piplup is cute. Dawn is supposed to be a cute trainer. Piplup will stay Piplup.


The DeeDee things irks me. I hate how they do that(I wish they'd just say it) make a big secret, get close to telling you so many times... and then... the whole show is done before you find it out.
 
But Mamoswine is not cute. May was also a cute trainer but Torchic evolved more than once. Also I want to see them meet again and have an epic Blaziken VS Empoleon contest battle.
 
I liked May and I depise Dawn she is the worst person to travel with Ash yet, yes even worse than Tracey who was as useless as Brock is...Personally the Wallace cup pissed me off May shoulda beat Dawn..May was in 2 GF and Dawn has like 2 ribbons all togather and lower lvl pokemon but somehow she was able to top May? Everyone is saying May had it easy and Dawn struggles....Clearly that is not the case...

Mind supporting that, please? Just because I'm curious as to why you think she's useless...

And you forget, contests isn't about brute strength and levels. That's the key lesson Ash learned when he tried out contests in Jubilife, isn't it? Dawn won. And, though I didn't watch much of Hoenn, from what others are saying, it sounds like May did have it easy when she started out in Hoenn.

Kenny was seen with Nando on television and being interviewed about a contest he just won. It's been a while since he last appeared, and I don't think he had any speaking lines, but he's not forgotten.

As for deedee, it's mentioned that Dawn and him are childhood friends. So it's simply a nickname or inside joke from back then.
