Anime Logic

Watching "The Winner by a Nosepass" from the Advanced Generation series yesterday, I was reminded of how odd the rules of the Pokémon Anime were when seeing Pikachu knock a Geodude out with Thunder, with Brock claiming that it worked because it was "close up"

What are some of the strangest examples of Pokémon Anime Logic you can recall throughout the series?

The whole thing of ground being strong to electricity then they have a limpet that is grounded and the electriity flows through it and obviously would hurt it.
Electricity damages when it flows which is why birds on powerlines are not hurt because there is no flow of electricity and naturally suggests flying should resistant to electricity.
