Annoying stuff about all the Pokemon games.

Okay, so I searched for threads like this and there weren't any, but if there are any, staff, feel free to lock this thread.

So, what are some annoying things about all the Pokemon games?

One, the surf speed. I'm really glad it's faster in Platinum.
Two, all the talking and stuff you have to do before getting your starter. I don't really think that much is needed. Especially when you're SRing for a starter that's female, etc...

Most annoying thing of pokemon games is definetely that there are Zubats and Geodudes in EACH GAME. It's normal at the beginning but you get bored of all those Zubats and Geodudes, specially when they use Mean Look/Selfdestruct/Explosion -.-
Oh, and that there's always and overpowered/weak Gym... Like Whitney's Miltank(Strong) Or lv 9 Pidgeotto in G/S/C.

That's for new players who still don't understand the concept.

Well, it has to be the appearences of such Pokémons like Bidoof or Magikarp. They kinda ruin your chance at searching for rare Pokémon.

I also find the Acro Bike kinda annoying. Sure, you can do tricks, but that won't get ya anywhere.

Well, I understand the concept, but it gets really annoying when you're SRing for a female starter, etc. I'm pretty sure you know what I mean.

Agreed about the legendaries and the Zubats/Tentacools. I think there are too many encounters in caves/while surfing and it kinda ruins the experience unless you have repel...How about searching for rare Pokemon in the grass like Ralts? Or even worse, in the Safari Zone...freaking Chansey and Kangaskhan are insanely difficult to find, and then they're near impossible to catch once you find them!

One thing that kinda bugged me in the newer games was not being able to trade, say, Hoenn Pokemon to FRLG until after you'd already beaten the game...I wanted to beat Kanto using a few Hoenn Pokémon on my team and then found out that it wouldn't work. :( I understand why they did it, but still...

I completely agree with you. Zubat's are the most annoying pokemon in caves.
And about the weak/overpowered gyms, I don't, it isn't fun battling a Level 9 Pidgeotto, or battling a let's say, Level 40 pokemon when all of your pokemon are in the mid-20's. -.-

I don't like Nintendo's obsessive habit with keeping everything the same. (eg. not actually having a Pokemon LEAGUE, fre, grass, water starters, etc)
Also having some legendaries ONLY accessible by going to events. (Mainly just a problem in AUS though, since everywhere else has gratuitous amounts of them)
But, I'll stop ranting now. >_>

I agree with you. I find it pretty unfair because Nintendo only hosts events at some places and of course, not everyone can go to anywhere they want anytime, and of course, the pokemon they give at events are pretty strong.

The thing that annoys me the most is when you're in a battle and you want to run away. Then it says "Can't escape" You don't know how much it annoys me when you get fainted for a fight you didn't even want to take part in...

I'd say catching certain legendaries. They're at 1-2 HP, asleep or have another status condition, and yet they break through all the balls that you throw! Persistent pests!
This is fixed somewhat in D/P to the degree that it isn't as impossible of a feat to catch the stronger legendaries.
I think that the lengendaries should be a challenge to get, sure it get's annoying but it makes it more worth it to have it, And for me I hate the cave's I always get lost in them (Mainly Mt.Moon)

    I agree.
Legendaries really should be hard to capture since well, they're legendaries.
    They're stronger than most pokemon.

    And, I hate that too.
It was a pain going through rock tunnel. -.-

Yep, going with the AUS thing with events. They never have any here and when they do, they sure as hell won't have it in WA D:

I have a list of annoying stuff in each region:
    Kanto:
The most annoying caves in any game. Mt. Moon, Rock Tunnel and Victory Road, OMG 3 caves! And large ones! With the omnipresent Zubat, Geodude, Graveler, Golbat...
Also Misty's Sarmy tormented my poor Charmeleon T-T.

Johto: Pretty similar to Kanto, annoying caves, but not that much. Only Whirl Islands and sometimes Ice Path, and the most annoying cave, Mt. Silver. Oh, I forgot to mention the overpowered and weak gym leaders there.

Hoenn: Long sea rutes means lots of annoying wingulls, pelippers... and to avoid that you just waste your money on repels. Too much rain is not good to My Blaziken.
Definetely the most annoying thing here are the sea rutes.

Sinnoh: The way to Snowpoint City, is so large, with snow and you walk very slow. Also the damn strong wild pokemons they have in the way to the Victory Road. You are surfing and suddenly a lv 50 (no jocking) Tentacruel appears, uses poison sting and poisons my poor pokemon, and the worst part is that sometimes I can't scape. And those pokemon are even stronger than my pokemon! And nearly as strong as some of the 1st E4 member.

I agree, the sea routes are definitely the most annoying stuff in 3rd Gen Games.

Oh yes, I forgot about that. I agree, it's really annoying, especially since you walk so slow.
You can't get out of a grass patch quickly.
I sure hope there'll be Snow Shoes or something you can buy from PokeMarts to walk faster in snow in future games.

Oh, and Victory Road is definitely one of the most annoying things about all the Pokemon games. The trainers there are suprisingly strong, and it can be pretty hard to figure out where the exit is.

The way those pesky professors know when I'm trying to ride my bike in a house or fish on a tv set.

mystery gift hasnt really worked unless you go to a nintendo event, since g/s/c

LOL, yeah. *let's make hyper beam an HM so we can destroy everyone!*

On topic. I can't imagine how dive works on land, like earthquake on sea. Shouldn't be it that when we use dive in battle at land, we get a land-based attack, maybe dig? And when we use EQ at sea, we get a tsunami?

And annoying little pidgeys appearing at land and never when you fly.
