Annoying stuff about the Pokemon games.

WILD GOLBAT APPEARED!

Go, [Pokémon]!

What will [Pokémon] do? (Run)

Can't escape!

Wild GOLBAT used CONFUSE RAY!

[Pokémon] became confused!

What will [Pokémon] do? (Run)

Can't escape!

Wild GOLBAT used POISON FANG!

[Pokémon] was badly poisoned!

[Pokémon] is hurt by poison!

What will [Pokémon] do? (Fight)

[Pokémon] is confused!

[Pokémon] hurt itself in its confusion!

Wild GOLBAT used AIR CUTTER!

Critical hit!

[Pokémon] fainted!

Use next Pokémon? (No)

Can't escape!

Repeat as necessary.

That is the most annoying thing about Pokémon. ;)

Basically I think the worst part of Pokemon games is when you are in a cave or at sea and it takes you like 10 minutes to cross the screen because of the constant barrage of wild Pokemon. I also hate the pidgey's and rattatas and biddoofs and all the other weak ones that constantly appear in the grass and it wastes your playing time. I think that the wild pokemon should differ depending on your team's average level and that means you could catch a high level fearow at the starting area if your team's average level is something like 50 or something. That would be an awesome addition to a pokemon game and it would make cave and sea crawls a lot more exciting.

That's it for my issues and solution(s) :) :)

PS: Don't feel compelled to read this.

Spot on. I have to admit it's pretty satisfying training up a Golbat/Crobat with Confuse Ray/Toxic/Mean Look and Wing Attack to turn the tables on the game, but still, mucho frustration.

The only other pet peeve I have with the game is that the enemy Pokémon seem to be able to use Fury Swipes/Fire Spin/Wrap etc 4 or 5 times with no problem, yet half the time my Pokémon are lucky to be able to use the move three times? Same with sleep/confusion moves and critical hits etc, they almost always work on my Pokémon yet the army of uber enemy Pokémon are practically immune to it.

I'm really starting to hate all the stupid pokemon that feel the need to show their normal coloured selves when I'm shiny hunting.
And the way the pokemon seem to know that I really don't want to see any pokemon/that I'm in a rush, and just can't help themselves... They NEED to get in my way.
But the pros outweigh the cons. I still love pokemon :D

In my opinion, it's not really that annoying. You could just switch to a stronger pokemon and try to run again, or if you have an Eevee in your team or any pokemon with the ability "Run Away", try running with it.

I agree, especially Bidoofs, they always break my chain whenever I'm chaining in Route 201 and Route 202.

Three things to say.

1: Being in Australia = Event Fail
2: Surf Speed in DP. I hated that...
3: Trade speed. ITS HORRIBLE. It takes about as long as it takes Goku to Power-Up just to trade ONE Pokemon.

I hate it that Nintendo only put events in North America and Japan and not Australia
the only one in Australia that I've heard of was the Darkrai one and i missed out on it

Well, I highly doubt many of us have ever lost entire teams to Golbat, but it IS really annoying when you're just trying to get through a cave as quickly as possible and these things keep popping up and not letting you run away...or if you have a weaker Pokémon up front that you're trying to train and the Golbat KOs it -_-"

Most annoying thing of pokemon games is definetely that there are Zubats and Geodudes in EACH GAME. It's normal at the beginning but you get bored of all those Zubats and Geodudes, specially when they use Mean Look/Selfdestruct/Explosion -.-
Good lord, I can't explain how right you are.

Tackle missing five times in a row, or your opponent never hurting itself in its confusion. hax

"hey look at me my pokemon are all level 20 while yours are level 80 i'll still take you on"

I found another annoying fact in pokemon D/P.

At the beginning I thought that Defog was useless because I could still see and didnpt need that HM to see better. Didn't know it had a battle effect. The only pokemon I had that could learn it was Staraptor, but the problem was:
-Close Combat
-Brave Bird
-Endeavor
-Quick Attack.

Any attack I could replace was too good, and would ruin my moveset. I think I'm not the only one. Staraptor just has so awesome moves that you don't want to replace one.

Staraptor isn't the only pokemon that can learn Defog. You can catch a Stunky in Route 206, below Cycling Road. But if I was you, I could've replaced Quick Attack.

Here's a list of all Pokemon that can learn Defog:

Mothim
Vespiqueen
Drifloon
Driflblim
Honchkrow
Stunky
Skunktank
Chatot
Finneon
Lumineon
Togekiss
Yanmega
Glisor
Giratina
Arceus

I have to agree with Defog being annoying. Considering Route 210 is long and I usually have a full team when I get there, I don't really want to have to sacrifice my movesets or bring an HM slave when I'm trying to train. -_- That and the accuracy reduction with Physical type moves is just... bawww. D:

Also, even though I'm in Canada, Nintendo events bother me too. Considering they're either in Toronto or Vancouver most of the time, and it's not really worth venturing out to Vancouver for it. :/

→ Oh, don't mind us, we're just taking out important functionality like ITEM STORAGE in your DPP games.

→ HAHA AND WHILE WE'RE AT IT, LET'S DORK AROUND IN THE CODE SO YOU SCROLL THROUGH YOUR BAG VERY s l o w l y. >:(

→ Also slow surfing herp derp.

→ *ring ring* "Hi, I'm a trainer in Emerald and I just called to tell you I almost caught a Taillow but it got away. :("

→ Japan gets a legendary Pokemon right in the game? BLASPHEMY. brb taking it out for the NA market.

→ lol defoggan and flashan

→ the 14 critical hits that the Elite 4 got against me versus my one critical hit in Platinum. (not a common problem but ohhh my gooood it pissed me off XD)

→ Here in the Pokemon Ranger regions, we don't catch Pokemon in pokeballs. That would be bad and far too convenient. Instead, just release Pokemon once they've used one attack. ffffffffff

→ *ring ring* "Hi it's that trainer from Emerald again! Today I had a Pokemon battle. It was fun. Well, bye!"

→ Oh hey a shiny Mightyena while training my Pokemon! I'd better switch out to my Nosepass so it can use Thunder Wave since I don't have any other status attacks. *ROAR* ............................;_;

→ *ring ring* "Hi it's me aga--"

Toronto gets events??

Toronto gets events??

Well, they did. Once. In 2002. :S
Either go with that or the typical Toys R Us thing, but lawl small towns

Oh yes, THAT little problem. You know, I really thought Nintendo was going to fix that in Platinum, becuase I'm sure there was a huge public backlash towards not being able to store items away, but no, no we can't have that.

Oh, yes, I almost forgot about the calls in Emerald. Especially when they call you just to chat...
