My name is Tim. I'm currently 24 years old, and I've been a fan of Pokemon since 1998, when Red and Blue reached the states. I didn't really follow Pokemon through Gold/Silver or Ruby/Sapphire, but my girlfriend got me back into the games in 2004 with the release of LeafGreen and FireRed. Since then, I've bought Emerald, Diamond, Platinum, SoulSilver, and White.
Concerning video games in general, I grew up a Sega fanboy first, then started to appreciate Nintendo with the release of the N64. I have a deep admiration for both companies, and there are several other studios I've since come to like as well. That said, I've found gaming tremendously unsatisfying since the Dreamcast died, and am not the gamer I once was. Pokemon is one of the few franchises that has never let me down.
I'm only a casual fan of Pokemon, but I do enjoy other topics. Most often you will probably see me talking about Politics and Philosophy, but I also like music (mainly Metal, Prog, Classical, and Jazz), Movies, and Literature.
As to other info about me, I was a Philosophy/English major in college, and I have limited experience in law school, but haven't yet decided whether to continue studying it (I may instead opt for a grad degree in Philosophy). I've been foruming since 2004, and moderated several forums, so I shouldn't cause any of you too much trouble. I currently go to a Zelda forum, but haven't branched out much. I'm hoping this forum will change that.
Glad to be here!
