    you arent allowed to send private messages that advertise your site. friends or not.

    That is anginst the rules but its not nice to say that.The word whore to someone.It would have been better to pm the staff. :\ .

    'forum whoring' means mass advertising.

    It's really the same thing as sending a link.

    But to me there is a difference in mass PMing members (where someone joins and sends 50 links to members asking them to join) to join a forum, and asking friends to.
