At first you dont like whatsoever

but you hear one song by them that totally changes your out look on them?

This came to mind as i was listening to Dance Gavin Dance

I never gave them a chance until i heard The Backwards Pumpkin Song
I fell in love with this song, its absolutely amazing,

but has anyone gone through a similar experience? what band? the song or whatever made you change your mind about them?

Yeah! I didn't really like Green Day until I heard their new album. Then I listened to American Idiot and.....they really surprised me. And now......I'm trying to listen to Dookie.

Ahah, something similar happened to me with Panic! at the Disco. A few years ago when "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" was kinda all over the place, I pretty much shrugged off the band. For some reason, the song didn't really catch on for me as it did for other people. I tried listening to their newer album (Pretty. Odd.) recently and I was surprised by a few of the songs. I went back to look for older songs, and yep, I found more that I liked. o:

Not really, but a lot of people who hated Miley Cyrus fell head over heels for her song The Climb.

    yeah
    i've been there.
the band was rush and i didn't really like them that much or give them a chance until i listened to 2112 the whole thing
and boy were my eyes opened!

I didn't like BMTH (Bring me the Horizon) at first but after listening to their song Diamonds aren't forever I started liking them

When I first listened to Pink Floyd, I thought they were crap. My brother started forcing me to listen to them more, and now... they're tied with Disturbed for my favorite band.
I know, Disturbed and Pink Floyd tied for my favorite band? What's wrong with me?

I don't really have this experience with bands so much as albums bands release to the public. For example, I didn't like Rotation by Cute is What We Aim For! the first time I listened to it when it was initially released. I still don't know why I didn't like it as it was the type of music I could listen to for hours on end without getting bored of it, but then I came across the album again and had to buy it. It quickly grew to my favorite album... but since then, it's been replaced.

Usually if I don't like a band, I never end up liking them unless they change their sound completely.

Probably. None that I can remember off the top of my head, though.

When I first listened to Pink Floyd, I thought they were crap.

Shame on you *shakes finger* ...At least you like them now, though
