    On other forums, I've asked this question and have gotten interesting responses. The same goes here. How many of you are Dance Dance Revolution / In The Groove players? In a broad sense, what do you think of it? Share your experience! :)

    I'm a casual DDR player, and by casual I mean I own a console version of the game and a mat, but always forget that I own them. Long story short, I almost never play. xD I'll sometimes play at arcades or at parties when my friends are playing too, but I barely get any practise anymore. So I'm not nearly as good as I used to be...not that that was very good. o_O;

    Anyway. I still really love the game. o_o It's a lot of fun and it actually gets you moving. Plus, it's fun to play just on your own or with others. :x I wish I had more versions of it though. Playing the same songs over and over gets pretty dull since you end up just memorizing the steps to all the songs instead of actually reading the arrows and playing accordingly. x_x;

    I have the Mario version. It is mighty fun, but so incredibly easy - no matter which difficulty. So, I'm good at that, but awful at regular DDR.

    I played the normal one at a party having only played the Mario one before. Just...different. First off, I was immediately corrected on my bad form (I can leave one foot stationary on the Mario one. Makes no difference). There was a lot of the holding down arrows, which are different in the Mario game. Same icon, but instead of just holding your feet down you make a running motion in the Mario one. So, yeah. It was different and I was awful at it.

    i dont have DDR, but i play it in the arcades. i still challenge anyone in the arcade to see if they can beat me, and yet, they have all phailed. so i am excellent at DDR, and also STILL unbeaten.

    Tell me what kind of stuff you can do. :badsmile:
    I know a lot of people who surpassed me in terms of the skills and stamina. Now doing 9-footers (or even easy 10-footers for that matter) won't impress anyone (except parents). That's why I kinda stopped trying to show off. A 12 footer though is really an eye opener.

    I play DDR whenever I can (in fact, I was playing it today) but since I don't have mats at home (want to, but they're too expensive) I don't play often - don't have the money to waste on arcades. x_x I normally play Light and I can pass pretty much anything on Light even if I haven't heard it before (I go on random) but I can only do the easiest songs on Standard at the moment.

    I play a lot of DDR, never tried ITG.. I'm going to California for spring break though, and I'm sure I can find an ITG 2 cab there. On DDR I can do most heavy songs, the only ten step I can do is Sakura, and the best i got on it was a C. >_> The only 9 step I can't do is Cartoon Heroes. >_<

    I haven't been able to play DDR on my xbox lately because it's a 360 and they haven't made the time to make it backwards.
    But I love playing DDR on my spare time at the mall.
