4th Gen Any one like the contests in D/P/P?

I'd say the contests were improved for the most part. The AI can't cheat their way to victory until higher levels this time.
 
I've take my Milotic and, I work so hard for the Master Ribbon of Beauty and its really damn hard to get, but I finally got one^^
 
One of my favorite things to do but without combos its a little less than it was back in RSE.
 
I HATE THE D/P/Pt CONTESTS!

i like R/S/E better...
 
Eh, I'm not a big fan of the contests because they are a little boring to me. I wish they could do something like the show and have the battle with the points system in the game, but they'd have to put in some kind of system where you can create move combos that hit hard but also look good, which is something I would imagine would be easier in a 3-D Pokémon game.
 
i beat beauty rank in all of the ranks in emerald and ruby with my blaziken but now i tried the contests on d/p/p and they were random and confusing.. i got through the dancing part and then everyone started having to pick which judge they performed for and everything so i just turned it off, not interesting at all
 
Yea I like the Pokemon contest even thought it got a lot difficult in Platinum, but the contest that annoys me the most is the beauty because the dancing is so slow and I miss alot when its my turn to perform 4 moves

Actually I haven't gotten round to doing any contests yet in Platinum, although I have in Diamond, and contests are okay, not my favorite, but something fun. I'm not very good with Poffins, that's kinda why.
 
Pokemon Platinum - The only game where your mother is the hardest 'boss' to beat.
 
I think they are plain rubbish in D/P. The dancing ruins it and the dress-up is pretty crap anyway. The R/S/E ones were much better as the moves had more variety in what they could do. They might be a plus point for a girl to buy the game, but I suppose that's a bit stereotypical.

I really never liked contests much in any generation. Now that I received my Master Rank Beauty ribbon for the star on my trainer card, I don't think I'll touch contests again.
 
Well I must say the contests here were different from the rest of games and I find this contest style very amazing.

Although I would like them to add contests similar to the anime ones, I like how they made the contests in D/P/PT. My favorite part would be the part where you dance.
 
I like the DPPt contests. The dress-up and dancing give it a more defined look, rather then just being a spin-off battle like in RSE. Personally, I hate the dancing, and that gave me a lot of trouble in the Master Ranks. Jasmine, and your mother were insanely good(I wonder how they got the judges to like them that much? Ahem.)

Fantina wasn't that great in my opinion, and like many others said, shes not the real problem.

I hope these DPPt contests get remade in HGSS.
 
The only thing I find a little boring is the last round in the contests. Other than that the contests are great. However, sometimes the dress up part is hard for me but it sure is a lot of fun.

Whaaaat!? How can you reach Master Rank!?

The only close I got was winning the Ultra Rank with My Lopunny. I didn't made a dent in the Visual Competition when I first tried out in the Ultra Rank and fed it till I don't know how many times. It was the one that made me win, and in the Master Rank... it was the one that made me lose!

I'm trying out now with my Garchomp, who just reached Great Rank. I'm actually making the Perfect Contest/Battling Pokemon so I'm afraid I have to be picky with the moves. ;;

I'm now trying to make an All-Contest Pokemon but no avail.
