Hey everyone! I was looking for Feebas and when I finally found one of the tiles, I was fishing and fishing and suddenly, I realized something. In Emerald, there are animations when a Pokemon appears, such as jumping, flopping, stars, etc. Well, Carvanha and Feebas have exactly the same animation when found in the wild. Any link between the two or simply laziness on the staff to create another entrance animation?

Look at Carvanha's entrance at 0:12-0:17.

Now look at Feebas' entrance at 0:05-0:11

    Any ideas?

Well yeah, a quite a lot of pokemon sorta share the same animation.. Like Gengar and Lugia expanding. Ho-oh and Mewtwo get small first and then expand a bit afterward. And a lot of fire or water pokemon glow red or blue from behind. Nothing new. Game creators get lazy all the time. :D

Back then, there were a lot of sprites for animations in Crystal. Now they just use two sprites per pokemon and make it bounce around or stretch..

I never noticed that, and a great explanation from TwilightBlade xD.

Only thing I did notice is when some of them glowed red or blue, not really the expanding or jumping or anything.
