Hey so as you can guess by looking at my sig I love beyblades, I was just wondering if there were any other beyblade lovers here. You can discuss anything beyblade related here. There is also a beyblade forum called the wbo. Anyone who likes beyblade should join, I am on there and my name is drakio on that forum, so if you join just say that I referred you.

Hey~ Found this by chance, and I must say that I DO like Beyblades~ ;P
I also have an account on WBO, but I don't get on too much.

Technically beyblades fall under the realm of collectable games, so I'm gonna go move this to Tabletops

I used to play beyblades when I was a child, I still have some of them 'till today and they were the original ones, the very first beyblades. :)

I used to play with Beyblades but not anymore. I still have my Beyblades and I'm going to keep them. I remember when we had Beyblade tournament and that blue arena. It was pretty fun to see other guys 'modified' Beyblades and their abilities. Some were strong and some spinned long time.

    Good old times. :)

Does Beyblade really count as a table top game? Since you can like.. for example, take them to school with you, and shoot the things down the stair railings and hallways. Or shoot them outside in the backyard so hard that when they hit each other one of them shatters the other, and it flies off into pieces!?

Yeah, I used to Beyblade all the time with my friends, this was back in 2003/4/and soooome of 2005. I still have them, and up until a point I'd randomly still use 'em in their stadium, but I really don't even do that anymore. The want is mostly gone.

I used to be a big Beyblade fan. I was a fan of the Anime and started to collect beyblades because of that. My first Beyblade was Dragoon F, just because I wanted a dragon. :'D Not much later my favourite bit beast became Dranzer (Red Phoenix + blue beyblade = love). I only made one custom Beyblade which consisted of Driger V2's Attack Ring, Galeon Attacker's Weight Disk and a Draciel's base (I think), or it was Dranzer F's Attack ring and Driger V2's base.. |D. It was a pretty stable Beyblade with high attack. : >I quite liked it. ^^

I'm kinda sad I never got Dranzer GT, it was my favourite Anime beyblade. |D
I still wonder why they gave Dranzer F the interchangable tip, though. It made the blade very unstable, since it tended to switch halfway while spinning/landing...

I'm so into Beyblade that I even watch Metal Fusion and Metal Masters. I grew up with Beyblade. Ever since I was (I think) five I watched Beyblade right from the first episode after waking up at 5:50 to watch Beyblade on Sky One at 6:00.

Hahaha, most of mine were (are) anime-based blades, too. Pretty sure my main were all Dranzer, Dragoon, etc. My favorites were always my few different Drigger blades, but Drigger G was my favorite. The only bad thing is that it was one of the eventual Engine Gear blades, and the engine dies FAST if you use them too much, I remember that much. :/ It irked me.

    They're also more defense than speed, so even though it was an Engine Gear, it used to be able to lose against normal Beyblades if they were just fast enough. D;

It sucks that all the original gen blades are banned now...They were great compared to the newer ones.

They're banned? I knew they stopped selling them, but that's normal considering how long the normal Beyblade series has been over. :/

The newer blades are smaller, and honestly the metal Beyblades just aren't as fun to use for whatever reason. o__O

The new metals just don't have that smashy, breaky, go flying feeling for me. They don't break, which is a good thing (my Driger S broke into a million pieces T_T), but they just don't go flying and hit the stadium wall when they hit each other.

Back when I was in Grade 2, me and my friends used to create beyblades using lego pieces. ^^ It was so fun how we see which one looks cooler and can spin longer. We didn't really battle each other much because we didn't want to break them. We would have used real beyblades but it wasn't really sold in stores. Only the fake, big ones were sold in those chinese shop areas.

well, i was a huge fan of beyblades when they first came out. i remember growing up in a rather "strict with expenditures" kind of household, so it was quite some time before i got myself a beyblade. i was a huge follower of the anime too, but i only watched until "v-force."

I was a pretty huge fan of BeyBlade for a long time, I thought the characters were surprisingly developed. But in the end, they were spinning tops, so I more or less fell in love with the idea of it more than the actual show itself. I bought a few BeyBlade, but when the little spinner got smashed from me standing up and launching it on concrete (I wanted to feel like I was really doing it at the time) I got put out.

The whole idea was that, since the Metal Fight generation stuff is so much smaller, they would be able to just crash against the base of the Bakuten Shoot generation stuff.

I sorta like the new style, I have a couple of blades myself (of course they had to make Capricorn the worst one in the bunch) and it's definitely a different type of battling, but it's still rather fun.

(I'm also a fan of the new anime trilogy as well and generally like this generation more than the original)

They launch on concrete if you're careful enough, and if its something smoother and not the broken / rocky concrete. -u- I sound like a nerd. Okay.

@Ryoutarou - Mmmhmm! Even when they had the metal Beyblades during the first generation, they were still small. We'd try to use them against the plastic blades, and they'd only hit the base like you said. xD; So I figured the newer ones would do the same. And I started watching Metal Fight before it was even subbed.. then I got side-tracked, and since then my only real look into it has been the dub (Which can't even say 'Ginga' right. "JENGAAA"). And. Well. >__> I should go back and watch the Japanese.
