Anyone recall playing the Driver series?

Was going through video game stuff from the 90s and recalled this game! My cousins loved it, but I never even made it past the garage area as a kid at all in the 1st game. I never saw the excitement in the game whatsoever. Anyone else recall playing it as a kid? I am surprised it was a commercial hit, but guess at the time it made sense.

I remember watching a video about Driver: San Francisco and later playing it on PS3. It could be a bit repetitive at times but overall it was really good! Being able to teleport into any random car on the road was very satisfying, and I found the story (both the main plot and most of the side-missions) pretty compelling.

I got Driver Renegade 3D for the 3DS. It's still sealed in plastic =P
Apparantly I was interested enough to give it a try and bought it and then just never ended up playing it.
