    It had been done before when the Pokémon League accepted Gary as the new Viridian City Gym Leader, after Giovanni supposedly vanished. Gary has since stepped down, and Shaida Sunfall willingly took his place. As the younger sister of Karen, the Dark type member of Kanto's Elite Four, Shaida was welcomed into her position by the League. They were aware of her owning several Dark attributed Pokémon, and weren't necessarily happy about it; however, they had given her the position, so only time would decide if they'd made a bad decision or not.

    Meanwhile, in Saffron City, Sabrina Barrett did not exist anymore. Rumours had circulated that she'd entered the mind of a tainted Alakazam, not her own obviously, and had consequently fallen victim to a psychic disease. She passed on a few weeks later, and the acting Gym Leader — Serenity Rosevale — stepped up to fill her predecessor's shoes. While that was happening, Rachel Savina — a Pewterian-born teen — was off training in Sinnoh to fulfil her dream of becoming a Gym Leader. The test still to come for Rachel, though, would be to fight a one-on-one battle against Will in order to determine whether she is fit for the role of Gym Leader of Saffron City.

    Shaida and Serenity chose to purge their respective Gyms of the trainers already there. Both Gym Leaders put out a challenge to any and all trainers with Dark or Psychic type Pokémon to defeat the other six Gyms and see if they were strong enough to be approved by said Leaders as junior trainers in the Saffron and Viridian Gyms. While the challenge was underway, the two Leaders closed the doors of their Gyms until the trainers arrived in Saffron and Viridian.

    Unbeknownst to Shaida, a scientist was looking into her history to see if she really was the younger sister of Karen. He was disappointed to learn that she was indeed the Elite's sibling but, at the same time, discovered something that could change the "oh so quick" decision to accept her. Relishing the new found information, he snuck off to the League and handed his findings over to Lance, the Elite Four Champion. Undecided about the shocking revelation, Lance opted to have Karen watch her younger sister and ask her if it was true when she got the chance. Naturally, Karen declined, saying that it was her sister's chance to shine as a Gym Leader and no amount of past experimenting by TR when she was young should change that.

    To test Karen's determination, Lance contacted Gary — who had since taken over his grandfather's job, since Professor Oak had fallen gravely ill — and asked for five Dark and five Psychic type Pokémon that could be used as starters. This is where you come in. You are one of those trainers. You have signed up to be a part of a test which is far harder than what you'd originally imagined, while preparing to accept your first partner. Good luck.

    (1) Biggest one: be active!!! I plan on posting one section a week. I want it to go fast paced; if you don't think you can keep up with me, then please don't post an SU. If you're going to be away for a while — just tell me, I'll understand. But you'd have some catching up to do.

    (2) No god-modding, bunnying or back-chatting any of the other members. All PC rules apply, okay?

    (3) Please, please use Microsoft Word's Spellcheck option.

    (4) Legendaries are off-limits; unless they come of they own free will to be captured.

    (5) If you are trying to capture a Pokémon, I would like to see the post ending with the ball shaking and whatever. I decide on whether or not you've caught it and what level it is at. Also, check with me before attempting a shiny capture, or do anything that's not in the section outline.

    Name: Crystal Smith

    Gender: Female

    Age: 16

    Appearance: Crystal stands in around 5 foot 7 inches with slightly tanned skin. She has a medium frame and weighs about 130 pounds. Quite a bit of this is muscle. Her eyes are a deep green with long, dirty blond hair. The hair is usually done up in a pony tail with a plain elastic band with her bangs frameing her round head. She has some frecklas on her face and a scar running down from her left shoulder down to the elbow of that same arm.

    Crystal usually wears a red muscle shirt with a white pokeball outline on the back. She has a black arm band on her right bicept and a black, fingerless glove on her left arm reaching to her elbow. She also has on a pair of ripped jeans with black running shoes and white socks. Crystal also wears a chooker in the shape of a Dragonair and a small, metal ring on her left finger.

    Region of birth: Hoenn

    Personality: Crystal is a very active girl. She does what ever she needs to do in order to get into as many clubs/events/sports that she can. She's very talkative and often interrupts people if she wants to put in her two cents. She can also be quite pushy, especially if someone gets in the way of something she wants. Crystal can also quite blunt, especially if she isn't feeling the greatest at that time/really doesn't like the person she is talking to.

    Of course, Crystal is mostly a nice person who gets along with everyone (or at least tries to). She likes helping people out and the more challenging the task, the more she wants to do it. The same can be said for the things she does. Crystal also gets alone with Pokemon quite well.

    History: Crystal was born in Slateport City to a couple of shop keepers. The girl lived in that town until she was 8 when her parents got enough money to move to Kanto. There, they settled in Saffon and started up another store. Crystal just loved the new city that was in the heart of the reigion. She spent a lot of her time exploring the town and its surrounding areas and cities. It was usually during these travels that she got to interact with the most Pokemon.

    When she was 10, Crystal wanted to leave right away to start her journey but her parents were concern about rumors of Team Rocket so they had her stay home. Pretty much every year the girl begged to go on her Pokemon journey but her parents were always hesitant to let their only girl go. Finally, on her 16 birthday, Crystal put her foot down and said that that was the year she would get her starter. Espeically with this challenge going on. Of course, there was no way she was going to go against her beloved Saffron, so she took the Viridian Challenge instead. Her parents finally gave in and so they all left for Pallet Town to get the girl her new partner.

    Name: Micheal Smith

    Gender:Male

    Age:16

    Appearance: Micheal has brown hair and eyes. He is about 6 feet tall and is well-built. His hair is about shoulder length and his eyes are quite small. His hair is messy and all over the place. He tends to frown when he speaks to people has a large, round face. He is quite short-sighted, so wears a pair of nice black glasses, that are slim and square.

    He wears a pair of jeans that are quite tight. He wears a black hoody which is warm in winter, in summer he wears a plain, white T-shirt. He wears fingerless gloves. His shoes are a pair of plain, white trainers that are quite muddy through years of use.

    Region of birth:Kanto

    Personality: Micheal is a warm and sociable person who always tries to do the right thing. Unfortunately at times his emotions get in the way of his actions. He tends to make rash decisions and tends to get anoyed quite easily. Ultimately he loves his Pokemon and will do anything for them. he lived in a small house in Viridian City.

    Micheal, though, has a side which is a lot less kind hearted. He has a part of him that can be malicious. He is also quite stubborn and doesn't change his mind often. This means he finds it hard to adapt to the situation in battles. He's hard working and is always prepared to do all he can when he needs to do something

    History: Micheal isn't rich but isn't poor either. His family were prepared to help him but never spoilt him. Due to this Micheal doesn't expect everything to go his way. Micheal has had to work hard in life but life hasn't been an uphill struggle either. Micheal's mother didn't have a job and did all the housework. She was stern yet always willing to help him when in trouble.

    Micheal's father ran a small shop that was reasonably successful because of his Father's hard work. Micheal doesn't have hundreds of friends but has enough for him to be content. He isn't particularly intelligent naturally but worked hard at school and learned lots. People are always glad to have him around him and he is well known in Viridian. People are used to seeing him rushing around town doing something.

    Micheal woke up in the morning of the day when he was going to get his first pokemon.

    He had a breakfast, cornflakes with milk.

    He'd got ready the night before and had everything he needed for the journey to collect his starter.

    He said a tearful goodbye to his Mum and went to the shop to say goodbye to his Dad

    He walked out of the door and headed for Pallet Town, where he was to get his starter, a Houndour.

    He'd always liked Dark Pokemon from the day he first learned about Pokemon and now he finally had one.

    He walked through Viridian City for what could be the last time, with tears in his eyes.

    He passed the Gym.

    He'd always wished to become leader of the Gym of his own hometown and now was his chance.

    His chance to be a hero...

    Jake is very active and can cook well. He is more of a peaceful giant people made fun of him in school for his height so he is sensitive to it and just wants to fit in. Jake is also interested in learning more about pokemon since he is a newer trainer

    Jake comes from a poorer family and ever since his mom died he wanted to do something with his life he trained himself physically and mentally ever since his dad was lost in mt. moon he was on his own and up until about 5 years ago he had a companion "natu". N atu had helped him earn a small living gambling and theiveing until he could get a job, as soon as he got out of college.

    As Jake starts his journey he sees an old man laying on the side of the road, as he comes closer he sees he's surrounded by boulders and only his back and head are visible. He then quickly rushes to aid him.he kneels down next to him giving him some water and digs him out but then a pack of houndour led by a houndoom charges.Quickly Jake got natu out of his pokeball and ordered him to use steel wing on a nearby tree to cut it down so it blocked a path to slow the pack down. But that wouldn't be enough to stop them.... just as the old man regains consciousness he pulls out a pokeball and yells " staraptor brave bird on houndoom" and all of a sudden a huge bird lunges on the other side of the tree and the pack Retreat back to the forest to regroup. As you help the old man to his feet he asks if you were related to Rolph Neals [ your dad!!!]. You Quickly reply with a "yes". he then tells you in a stern and serious voice...

    " I know who and what has him".

    Lokni hasn't done much in life up til now except wander around Celadon and get doted on. Her extremely adorable features have made her many friends around Celadon. With large blue eyes, curly pink hair reaching down to her waist, tiny pink lips and an adorable button nose, she's able to go wherever she pleases by batting her eyes and maybe tearing up a little if someone tries to stop her. She stands at 4'5"—usually below the radar of many adults, unless she wants to be seen. She has a cute little body for a 12 year old, with no curves whatsoever, but slim arms and legs, and a heart-shaped face. Her skin is a light tan from being outside and walking around Celdon often with the family pet.
    Clothes:
    With all the latest styles and clothing coming through Celadon, Lokni's mother has more than enough excuses to stuff the girl in ridiculous outfits. The typical dress (and It's always a dress) is a light pink plaid gingham pattern that reaches about the tops of Lokni's knees and curves a safe distance above her undeveloped chest in a u. Underneath is a pure white petticoat that puffs out above a pair of light black faux-leather boots. Around her middle is a belt, a light pink to match the rest of the dress, upon which sits her cell phone and pokegear, and slots for everything from pokeballs to pokedexes. Her hair is held back with a headband, the edges of which are trimmed with ribbons and lace, and the entire thing is a light pink to match her dress and hair.

    Kanto—Celadon Specifically

    Personality:
    Lokni is nothing short of spoiled, having spent her entire life growing up in a wealthy household in the city of Celadon. Her mother gives her whatever she wants, because Lokni is simply that adorable. She'd never had to throw tantrums to get her way, and so she acts good for the most part, but will get moody if she doesn't get her way. Lokni gets along great with other people so long as they praise her and don't double-cross her. Her strongest attribute is her determination—once an idea pops into her head, she will not stop until it's been completed. This has only been perpetuated by her mother, who feels Lokni should be supported in every single thing she does.

    As far as pokemon go, Lokni has a certain respect for the creatures. The family has a pet flareon, and the pokemon follows Lokni around wherever she may go at the request of Lokni's mother. Once Lokni had turned 8, she'd gotten a bad habit of tugging on the flareon's mane. The flareon, knowing she wouldn't be able to put up with this for the indefinite amount of time she would be undoubtedly left to watch this child in the coming years, allowed Lokni to do it only twice more before whirling around and biting the child hard. She'd drawn blood, and been severly reprimanded when they'd gotten home, but never again had she had to put up with Lokni doing anything that might annoy her. From this experience, Lokni grew a bit, and began to respect other's wish a tad more, though more specifically the wishes and desires of pokemon, seeing as they were the ones that could bite or char-grill you depending on their mood.

    History:
    Lokni's father was a manager at the department store in Celadon, and the family had been well off since long before Lokni could remember. At one point they'd bought and evolved an eevee into a Flareon, and the creature became Lokni's babysitter for the most part, as her mother liked to go out on shopping sprees and spending time with her woman friends. Lokni's father was often gone at work, and so the child often only had herself and the Flareon to play with, wandering throughout the town and getting into mischief which her cute looks almost always got her out of. At the game center, she was known by all the prize-tellers, and they would often bring her candy or give her small prizes for free. Sometimes she'd go into the office buildings around the city and wander about to see what people were doing. Most often though, she'd simply walk around the city, tottering down to the gym to peek in the windows and fog up the glass to draw pictures on it.

    It was a friend of Lokni's mother that told her about the test, and she was more than eager to give her precious Lokni something to do besides cavort about Celdon all day. She quickly contracted a motor car to take them to where the starters were being handed out, and Lokni connected with the Abra instantly. She ran up to it, hugging it tightly, and all the adults were a bit surprised to see it didn't Teleport. She dubbed it Fahy, and with a hug from her mother, was left behind to hear what the test she'd been signed up for entailed.
