    BUT I HAVE THOSE!

All of a sudden, my computer is whining about some "invalid" DLLs and as a result..

Thumbnails won't show, Filmstrip won't work, Crome and Firefox won't start, I can't listen to music in WMP, and I'm generally very pissed.

for the thumbnails not showing, I KNOW for a fact it's NOT currupted images... they all show up fine on another machine, thumbnails and all. The images WILL still open in some other program, but not the picture viewer thing. I think Filmstrip is part of the same problem.
When I go to open them, sometimes it will show an invalid dll thingy

I get some invalid DLL thingy when I try to open Chrome of Firefox

I can open WMP, but I can't play any mps, and it gives me some error saying there's no sound device or something. Additionally, I can open a video, and I get picture, but no sound!

and fopr some reason when I go into the control panel, nothing happens when I click on System!

I tried everything I could think of! Rebooting a million dozen times, system restore (I got to it through msconfig), AVG showed nothing, and nothing happens after I typed "/sfc ScanNow" into the run box.

I'm totally clueless at this point! WHAT DO I DO!?

EDIT: This happened after running CCleaner, doing some other thing then going to reboot, then it got stuck on the saving your settings screen, so I turned it off... then when I turned it on, all this started!

    I'm running Windows XP SP3

Which DLL files does it say you're missing?

    stuff like...

    For Chrome and Firefox, USP10.dll

and some point the thumbnails gave me an error about ksuser.dll and then later it was whining about shimgvw.dll

I don't get it, what happened? How are they "invalid"?

Why's it whineing about them being invalid if I have them and they worked fine yeserday? o.O

It's strange... I've never heard CCleaner doing something like that. I suggest you look at the DLLs in your computer. Have they been modified recently (check their properties). Do the system files have the correct timestamp?

Could it be a virus? Do you have a decent antivirus?

Have you tried doing a roll back? I mean system restore to a date when everything worked?

I can't really detect it as something, if I were you, I'd opt for a format. You could try a few things though.
Start out with one issue at a time, look up errors on google. If it's about USP10.dll, download the correct one for your version of OS and replace the old one... Or get it from the Windows CD.
If doing that doesn't help (nothing on google, replacing the dll) You'd reach a dead end :/

    Try reinstalling Chrome and Firefox.
