Ruffian dashed off, her hooves kicking up dirt that covered her. She jumped over fallen trees, and dashed around bolders. Once out of danger's way, she moved to a field, and began to gallop around freely, throwing a buck in every once in a while. She wondered why all life couldn't be like this ... free and fun. But, she had been alive long enough to know that that would never happen.
She had grown up galloping away from every other Pokemon. She wasn't weak, but her strength wouldn't hold up against a Flygon pair, nor a pack of other Pokemon. Her main advantage was her speed, agility, and ablility to leap tall objects. It allowed her to flee easially, and usually, without much trouble.
From a distance she watched part of my head being killed off and eaten. Although Ishefelt the urge to cry, she held it back. Everyone Ruffian knew would most likely escape early. After all, the strongest of the herd would survive. Strongest and fastest.
Ruffian trotted over to the remaining percentage of the herd, tossing her head towards the sky; mher mane of flames blowing all around. They rolled their liquid brown eyes, and turned off. They started to gallop along, and she did what she always had, try to gallop up front. Ruffian did just that, passing others quickly and effortlessly. When she reached the leader, he lashed out, biting at her sholder. She whinnied out in pain, but refused to back down. She put all her strength into her next few strides, and was out front in a few seconds.
Although it was great for a while, Ruffian quickly became bored. She whirled around, sprinted towards the back, and then started galloping easially towards the front, awaiting the moment when they would stop.
