Are event Pokemon a bad thing for non-Japanese players?

Personally, I think that when localizing Pokemon games Nintendo should allow for a legitimate way to catch event only Pokemon without actually having to do an event. I can certainly understand it working in Japan, where near everyone is close to a place where they can get them. But for the VAST majority of non-Japanese players we're screwed.

There's no way Nintendo doesn't know that, so I personally think it's a douche move to keep locked away Pokemon that most western players have no chance of getting legitimately.

(I seem to recall there being a thread like this recently, someone should search before posting)

Back on topic, this does anger me. With all the legendaries and giveaways, a lot of people are screwed.

It doesn't particularly matter to me. It's not like I've ever really cared to acquire Darkrai, Arceus, Cresselia, etc, but I can see how people would get irritated. Wifi events are a bit better and more widely available, but there are still people that don't have a wifi router. :/

Actually, GenV is introducing the first event-only legendary that I actually want and that's Genesect. :D

It used to annoy me, as here in Australia, there have only been 3 events that aren't wifi. But now that I got my wifi working, I can get others.
I can see it as very annoying, though.

In a way, yes, non-Japanese players being unable to get Japan-exclusive events is annoying. They could fly all the way to Japan (or wait until the event comes to where they are), but some don't have the patience for that. I tried getting the Mew Wi-Fi event while I wasn't in the US recently, but it didn't work, which annoyed and frustrated me.

Nonono, it's a bad thing for people like ME who don't even HAVE Wi-Fi. 333:<
Lol, but forealz, yeah it is a bad thing. Japan really gets all the good stuff. =/

I'm with Nintendo on this one.
I have duplicates of all event Pokémon [lives in the UK] and I've never really found them hard to get. Although the Nintendo of Europe HQ is only 5 miles from me...so that might explain it.
    -_-

No, I mean Pokemon originated in Japan, so of course its going to have more Pokemon things then everywhere else, but there is still a good amount of events that happen across the world, and some that don't even happen in Japan.

It does not matter that much to me because for all inaccessible event pokemon, I just copy all the stats and other important info into Pokesav and transfer it straight to my game.

Some unobtainable Poke's can't be caught in-game and they make an event for it which is like not happening often on non-Japanese countries :<

I'd like Wi-Fi events more likely to happen, i.e. Mew on HG/SS :D

I think more wi-fi is really crucial.
It's not like everyone in Japan can actually go to events either, you know.

In that sense, the Victini ticket giveaway via wi-fi might have been a good start for BW.
