    Hi Guys!

You may think I'm dumb and I think I know the answer to this question.

Are Pokémon Invincible? Because as soon as a Pokémon battles and gets knocked out you just top it up at full health at the Pokémon Centre and its fit and healthy!

    Thanks for viewing

    :nervous:

One must remember that Pokémon do die, however, as we know from the Pokémon tower in Lavender Town, Mt. Pyre in Hoenn, and the Lost Tower in Sinnoh.

lol, they just faint. but they do die, thats not there in the games. check the mount pyre in hoenn and some others in different regions too.

They do die, in the films Pokemon die. Lucario died. :( And so did one of the Lati's. :(

Pokemons are not Invincible...They dont die in battles but by ols age or somethin bad happens. Battleing wont make them die they just faint, but if it is a seroius battle they might get injured and must go to the PC

In game-canon, Pokemon don't die in battle unless otherwise stated. And by otherwise stated I mean Team Rocket just waltzed into the Ghost Tower and killed all the Marowak. But aside from that, references by trainers in and around memorials, and a few indirect deaths in the movies, I don't think Pokemon have really died.

Pikachu almost died after being hit point-blank by a Hyper Beam.

Seriously, it's heart rate spun out of control and they pulled out the F**KING SHOCK PADDLES.

Yeah, but if a Pokemon dies, Ho-Oh can just revive them as one of the legendary cats ;)

No mater how many times you say it, Suicune is not a cat, and Raikou is not a dog!

    Well, most pok
émon, mighty as they are, are still mortal. They die, just not in competitive battling.

No, I'm pretty sure if you rip a Pokemon's internal organs out, it will die.

Shedinja would like to have a word with you.

Well, you could probably kill some of them via the methods suggested above, but what about the ghost types? XD Or, things like Shedinja or Porygon? XD

I don't know about Shedinja, but Porygon doesn't age, and cannot die from damage to its physical body, so technically it is immortal, but it could possibly be killed if it were in its digital form (think the mirage pokémon). So if all computers in the world were to suddenly stop working, then Porygon would be invincible. At worst, it could go into a temporary inactive state if it were to be vaporized and didn't have sufficient energy to completely regenerate it's body.

Others like Arceus and Dialga are also technically immortal, but they can still be killed. (Well, maybe not Arceus.)

Okay- Pokemon is very illogical by nature. It's intended for a younger audience, so having a pokemon die at the end of a brutal animal fight isn't to PC. Lol.

But as everyone else has mentioned- they can die. Somehow... Lol

Pokemon die, just not in-game, because I highly doubt Nintendo wants angry moms knocking on their door to scream at them because their 5 year old kid hasn't stopped crying since his level 5 string-shot caterpie weak squirtle died. Anyhow, they do die because of the Pokemon Tower in Kanto, Mt. Pyre in Hoenn, and the Lost Tower in Sinnoh. I'm guessing that a Porygon [and its evolutions] would die if the computer they were created on/updated with crashed. But not automatically die, just not have the ability to regenrate itself, and then when it is hurt so bad and not able to be healed it will die. I'm going to say that Ghost Pokemon are immortal to some extent, only able to end thier life through curse or somthing [Gengar Suicide :(].

Actually, only the original prototype Porygon's are reliant on a computer to back-up their data, and many Porygons (those hatched from eggs and those found in the Mystery Dungeon series) automatically imprint their code on every single bit of their physical body. Which means that those Porygons can only be killed in a nuclear explosion.

Ghosts are similar, in fact, in the Manga, a Haunter managed to kill itself through Explosion.

    In other words,

    Explosion=Bad for Pokémon

    "Drop the nuclear bomb.........now!"

"Crap, I missed... *shrug*, maybe next time!"

Apparently I'm not that Porygon-smart XD. But I guess whatever coumputer that was used to evolve a Porygon, if crashed, would cause that Porygon to de-evolve.

My Bazooka wants to pay porygon a visit

If I got a gun and shot a pokemon they probably will die just because they dont die in battles dont mean they dont die at all plus i bet the pokemon battle would end before the pokemon could die.
