Well over the past few years, all they've been doing is remakes.

Is it not a little lazy of them not to make a new series, with some fresh new Pokemon?

    Thoughts?

Sorry if this thread has alread been created.

    selfish and lazy
but don't LET ANYONE hear you diss the GODS

i was called a troll for pointing out flaws

its not Double standards, karen can't keep her clothes on

IM not a troll im just practing my freedom of speech

we know ya gotta thing for karen

    RIP

in my eyes, she's giving us ugly girls the evil eyes.

I will say karen is less boring then cythia

Don't claim "Freedom of speech" unless somebody is trying to prevent you from talking, otherwise you sound like a hyperdefensive idiot. Anyway, GameFreak has made TWO remakes, and it's not like those were straight because D/P/Pt was between the two.

If anything, they should hire better Pokemon designers before coming up with a new generation. The "fresh", "new" pokemon that have been coming out lately are primarily ripoffs of pokemon from previous generations, downs-syndrome new evos, and things like Bidoof.

Let's see, we've had a remake, then a new series, then a remake.

    I don't see where you're coming from.

I do hope you're not considering Platinum as something new. It was pretty much the same as d&p except with a few minor improvements...

It's just to get older Pokemon fans playing.

Um, that's what Pokemon always does.
Make two new games that have slight differences from each other and then make another version that is like the other two to make up for anything they messed up and to add a few new things.

P.S. I request a post deletion or at least a edit for that fight in the middle of this thread. It barley has any thing to do with the thread and it takes up space.

    Never said that.

But it was part of an entirely new trilogy between remakes.

Oh, and you go ahead and come up with over 100 new ideas for creatures, give them movesets, and program a game engine for them, and entirley revamp old games, updating the art, gameplay and movesets, and then I'll call you lazy.

I think you're being a little overly aggresive. It is their job anyway. I think what Gamefreak have made is great but I've seen nothing ovely new and unseen in Pokemon for a while.

    Selfish? No. Lazy? No.
Personally, I love the remakes. I have a really hard time playing the original RBY and GSC games (GSC ESPECIALLY because of the "dry battery" issue.. or whatever it's called), due to the bad graphics, the lack of movesets, typing (RBY not having dark or steel type). I am extremely thankful for the remakes. And I'm really looking forward to HG/SS when that comes out in America, because My gold and Crystal games are dead.

As for new Pokemon, they only come out with new ones every 3-5 years (give or take). And personally, after the last generation, I'm not exactly anticipating any more new Pokemon. Wasn't a big fan of Gen IV's Pokemon.

i know what u mean but its not easy coming up with new pokemon and new regions. plus a lot of people like the remakes look at how popular hg/ss are

I never said Gamefreak were selfish so I don't know why people are saying 'selfish? ~answer goes here~'

It aint easy comming up with a new game why dont you try to come up with your own pokemon region, create 100 pokemon, create gym leaders, towns, routes tainers, sprites, moves etc... then you will find out its harder than it looks so they create remakes while they come up with new idea is what i think.

I think they are lazy for the reason pointed out and others.

Pokemon designs for gen 4 some look like digimon and others are just unoriginal. They should have asked for character designs from fans and the winning 100 to 160 get there pokemon made.

The first and second gen remakes were justified IMO because the originals aren't compatible with the current set of games. Now, if the 3rd gen gets remade, then I'll be thinking more that they're "greedy" because 3rd and 4th gen ARE compatible (and I would imagine would be compatible with 5th as well when/if it comes out).

And for the record, there are awful Pokemon designs spanning ALL four generations. And Hoenn appears to be the region with the least effort put into its creation because nearly half of it is water.

Well it basically runs in the same order, e.g it has gone-
    R/B/Y- First Game, New Series
    G/S- New Series
    C- Remake of G/s (different storyline/main Legendary).
    R/S-New Series
    FR/LG- Remakes of R/B/Y
    E-Remakes/Improvement of R/S
    D/P- New Series
P- Agreed, Pointless Remake, But had a different Storyline and improved Tiles.
    HG/SS- Much needed Remakes.

But Following this order, it is most likely the next release will be a 5th Generation.

I thought it went more like this:
G/R - First Games, New Series
    B - Improvement of G/R
    Y - Improvement of G/R
    G/S - New Series
    C - Improvement of G/S
    R/S - New Series
    LG/FR - Remakes of G/R
    E - Improvement of R/S
    D/P - New Series
    P - Improvement of D/P
    HG/SS - Remakes of G/S
