Are they delaying Ash again?

What the hell was great about Da! anyway bar the Japanese opening? An arc full of fillers, no evolutions, no interesting battles? Iris and Cilan leaving Ash for the stupidest reason EVER? Team Rocket returning to its old and boring role in the show?

And they are delaying Ash because fillers are attractive to babies and children. Seriously. The show is for those up to 12 or 13 years old, and that's generous.

Well, I won't say Iris's reasons were stupid. Her reasons at least were at least better than the reasons Misty ended up removed from the main cast. At least she's actually pursuing a goal, unlike Misty. Not to mention Brock's removal was just pointless as he was going to return anyways and in an irresponsible fashion.

That being said, as mentioned before, I don't care how long they go as long as Ash actually improves his game. I'd prefer if he get Top 2, or heck, even first place in the league, but I'm content with Top 4 as long as he at least regains that position and not end up with Top 8. People complain about Johto and its fillers constantly, but hey, at least Johto actually had Ash improve his game. You really can't say the same for AG or BW.

Judging from things, Ash is going to have to work hard to be able to beat Mega Lucario. Maybe they're delaying it with random filler arcs now, so they can start slotting in Team Flare starting from Geosenge? One can hope...

I was a little worried by the fact that the updated Japanese opening seems to focus solely on the Korrina arc. Pokemon doesn't usually like changing their openings often, and the original V Volt was only in for about 30 episodes (compare it to the length of their other openings for the start of a new series, and it had a very, very short run).
