4th Gen Are they going to remake Crystal?

    There is a lot of talk about Black and White, but there is no talk about remaking Crystal, or having a third game in the Silver/Gold series. Are they planning on making one?
     
    No they aren't.

    They didn't remake Yellow and they aren't remaking Crystal.

    HeartGold and SoulSilver had everything Crystal had and more. Why make a third installment when there's nothing to add?
     
    i highly doubt they will. soul silver and heart gold are like it just with more stuff it'd be kind of pointless

    Exactly. They packed a whole heap of features into Heart Gold and Soul Silver, and as Thorns said, what are they going to add into a Crystal remake?

    Also, because they are in the process of testing and releasing Black & White, I doubt they will make and third installment for that at least 12 months after that, or probably the same time Platinum arrived to your local EB Games.
     
    I think talk about Black and White just furthers the point that GameFreak doesn't have any plans on a Crystal remake. HeartGold and SoulSilver pretty much was a Crystal remake; including many of the old Crystal features from before. That said, no a Crystal remake will not be made. If anything is to be remade next would be Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, but there's still a few more years for that. Anyway, with all that has been said already, case closed.
