Are they thinking of an awesome game like this?

    Alright, so I was talking to my friend yesterday about a game that would be just awesome. I am not sure if they are in the making of something like this but they really should because it is defiantly possible. What if say, for the PC a pokemon game was made online. You can go on with a bunch of friends and travel throughout each region. Every place you go, the routes you see others online who are there as well and you can talk, or battle them. Of course, choose a starter pokemon and try to catch others You reach the city and you battle the gym leaders who is a CPU but a challenge and earn badges in each city. And in each city you can go to chill spots with your friends who your traveling with and other trainers in the area, such as pokemon centers, marts and attractions really in this city. Example: Celadon City's big market. Then after you earn 8 badges you go to the pokemon league which is once a year in the game time and you face off against other trainers who have also earned 8 badges. Then you can travel across to the next region. Always having to do special objectives also from others in the towns/cities or even the professor. Also the ability to create your trainers appearence.

    Again, not sure if anything like this is being discussed but that would be amazing.
     
    Hmm.. i don't think so. there would be any such thing because it could cause an hassle and can really rust up servers because lot of people would be joining i don't think Nintendo is gonna make anything like this.. and even it would be fan-made it could take years and once it comes up.. loads of people may join causing server problems and whatnot ultimately leading it to terminate it down. Well the idea does sound good but i won't seemingly go to participate anything like this pokemons are better left off to the way they are.
     
    I've seen some fan-made stuff that can or promises to do just that. Nintendo, if it was smart, would d this too but what d I know.
     
    What if like, you could only have your friends on your own server or something?
     
    I have no idea why Nintendo hasn't made an MMORPG like this. They would make a ton of money if it was on subscription. I read somewhere that Nintendo don't wanna make a game like this is because when people trade, they go face-to-face irl, much like the anime and they don't want it to be online because it's not face-to-face. But that's completely retarded because they have the GTS. Which is freakin' online.

    Why are you making it seem like making alot of servers is hard? Look at WoW, they have 11 million subscribers and their servers are fine.
