Anyhow, I really liked the episode, I thought it was pretty funny. Team Rocket played the part, as always. And seeing Lugia was pretty good foreshadowing.

Hmm.. can't think of much more to say about it, except that it was a good first episode for Master Quest.

I have this episode on DVD. Despite it being your average Johto filler, I watched it twice...I can't remember it though. Ohhh yeah, Whirl Islands. Its a pretty meh episode to start the new series with. The next one's better

Well Corsola was in this episode, which started off Misty's little quest in getting one through a few episodes.

Yeah, its pretty meh. The only thing I really noticed was that the sound was a bit off, on the DVD version at least. When they were speaking at the end-of-episode Team Rocket battle, the voices and attack sounds didn't go with the pictures.
