Ash And HO-OH

In response to AdamHays: Yeah! He was in the first season, before G&S was even conceived! That always bugged the heck out of me. What was up with that?

Why he's there: Ho-Oh has been leading Ash to each new region, if you've noticed, and he's always a far better trainer after each. Here's something else that you may be interested in.

Which of Ash's Pokemon has been gaining an exponential amount of power throughout the series, especially in Hoenn? Pikachu!

My conclusion: Ho-Oh is preparing Ash for something, and Pikachu ties into it as well.
