Ash is a liar

Who knows, he might go back for them..Although him losing to paul in D/P serious is kinda wack becuase his pokemon should be way stronger but meh....And in the end later I think he will have alllhis pokemon with me but we can only all assume right? :P

You definately have a valid point here. Butterfree I'm pretty sure he did release for good, but it seems like he's simply given up on all the others. Still, Butterfree flew across the ocean to raise a family, and now Ash has also sailed to new lands. You'd think there would be an episode where they'd at least meet up, or better yead have Butterfree rejoin the team.

Charizard appeared in the third movie to help Ash, I believe, but has yet to return since. None of his other Pokemon have ever been heard from since then too, including the ones left with Professor Oak, the herd of Tauros exlcuded. Seriously, Ash needs to come back and fulfill the promises he made to his friends.

The third movie was during the johto season, and since Johto, charizard has returned twice, both times in battle frontier.
(against articuno and against Brandon). Hope we'll see him in Sinnoh as well.

I am willing to believe that he completely FORGOT about poor Pidgeot after mentioning him in that Johto episode, and Butterfree? Yeah, he long since forgot about THAT little guy.

This is the same kid that forgot that Donphan evolved from Phanpy, guys and uses Electric Pokemon against Ground types. He's not the brightest color in the crayon box. (And I know I just stated the obvious on that one XD)
