2 . For letting a random guy that only knew Ash for 3 hours keep his Primeape !
I honestly miss Primeape /:
He is up there with Butterfree on my "I miss you ." scale .
Does anyone else remember this ?
& Did anyone else cry when Primeape falls, and Ash stops him from hitting the ground ? I know I did D;

It actually surprised me about Butterfree... I remember something about a PokeDex entry saying that they died after they mated. I guess that means that Ash's Butterfree is dead now.


I thought he was stupid for trying to make Pikachu stay with his own kind. But I think that was back in the very first season. That was an old, old episode.

Yea most of ash's strongest and oldest pokemon have been released
charizard, pidgeot, butterfree, squirtle, etc.

He didn't own primeape for that long before he left him so I wasn't that disappointed. But it did have a nice personality for a cartoon that I think Aipom ripped off, and primeape is stronger than aipom.

Charizard, Pidgeot, and Squirtlte were not release. Charizard and Squirtle are training elsewhere. Pidgeot is protecting a flock of Pidgey and Pidgeottos just outside of Pallet Town.

Firstly, the Butterfree mating idea is apparently false and in fact they do live on after mating, plus apparently we see Butterfree as a cameo in one of the later movies, probably one I myelf have not seen.

Also, why is Ash stupid for letting Butterfree go? Butterfree wanted to go, so you think Ash is stupid for complying with his wishes? You'd rather he just refuse and keep Butterfree a prisoner? Yeah, much smarter.

Primeape was alright, but wasn't kept for long so few really cared about him much, especially compared to Charizard. Speaking of Charizard, even I understand him giving him up (even though it's not permanent). Charizard needed to be trained by a professional since for some reason, Charizard purley hated Ash for quite a while and would anyone want to keep a Pokémon that ignored you completely. That being said, Charizard was incredibly cool and still is one of Ash's strongest Pokémon, especially after he got over his grudge against Ash.

I think people have the issue of liking a Pokémon and then getting angry and blaming Ash when they are removed from the story, when most of the time, the Pokémon wants to go or chooses to go. Pikachu is a perfect example of the opposite, he was given the choice to leave, but chose to stay.
