Ash vs. Trip Full Battle?

Possible Spoilers, since most of their pokemon are common knowledge by now...

At this point Ash and Trip has had small skirmishes but nothing to the extent of a full on battle. So going off Sinnoh where Ash faced Paul at Lake Acuity 6 on 6 do you think we will see a battle like that before the Unova League? If so where at? And what do you think the line up would be for both of them?

Oh well, when you think about it, it would be very useful - development wise. I could probably see it happening, I mean why not? But obviously I'd rather see it quite a way in like Ash and Paul's. Where? Gah, there are loads of opportunities. I'd say the best places would be around Icirrus City, either on Route 7 or Twist Mountain, maybe Dragon Spiral tower, maybe before anything Team Plasma pops up.

I would wether see them do something different with Ash vs.Trip full battle? then to repeat the samething they already did with Ash vs. Paul in that full battle they had in the Sinnoh series and this isn't the DP series anymore. It is time for them to do something new.

This I want to see. I think the battle will take place outside of Dragonspiral Tower or Twist Mountain.

As for their Pokemon:

Ash will use:
-Pikachu
-Snivy
-Tepig
-Oshawott
-Scraggy
-Palpitoad

Trip will use:
-Servine (or Serperior)
-Gurdurr
-Frillish (or Jellicent)
-Lampent
-Vanillish

Yeah cause it's not like they haven't rehashed several aspects through out the years. Man this would be so revolutionary omg taking something from a previous series and using it again 0=!

Really this isn't DP anymore so that's why they go by the BW thanks for clearing that up I never would have guessed that. And if it's time for something new then suggest what you have in mind instead of clearly stating what we already know that this has happened before. Ash and Trip already had a 5 on 5 where Ash got beat down in. So a full battle wouldn't be much different outside of the writers not making it so one sided.

As far as the battle goes. I would probably guess it would take place around Icirrus City. It would be neat to see it at Challengers Cave.

Since this is in the future I am going off the assumption that most of them are evolved by then so...

Ash

My guess is most of them evolve by at least one stage by this point. If anything Tepig or Oshawott with be at their final stage at this point. I see no reason why Tranquill won't be fully evolved by this point. Then my hopes is he has Gigalith by this point.

I could definitely see all of Trip pokemon fully evolved by then. Although I dunno really get the feeling that he will have both Jellicent and Chandelure on the team at the same time. By then maybe he will get some subs likes Eelektross, Mienshao, Golurk, Bisharp, Hydregion(highly doubtful).

Original set of Pokémon he used in his second battle with Trip, I'd either see him using Scrafty or Conkeldurr. I do see Trip and Ash trading Boldore and Gurdurr. I don't want Ash to evolve Snivy, neither do I think it actually wants to evolve. I can see Oshawott and Tepig sort of going all the way sooner or later. I wouldn't be suprised if Tranquill evolved during this match, since I can't see another Poké Ringer contest coming, and they did do it with Chimchar. xD;

Trip has already be seen with a lot of his Pokémon evolved already, so I could see him with a fully evolved team. Nothing really more that I want to add to that. It would be interesting see Trip use Gigalith against Ash. xD;

So, I'm guessing your going for Ash and Trip trading Boldore and Gurdurr and then back again once evolved? It does sort of remind me of when Ash traded his Butterfree. I like the idea of Trip with Hydregion, sort of like a secret powerhouse, like Paul's Drapion.

My thought was there was some botched mix up like they did with Red and Green(Blue in English) in the Manga where Red had Green team for a issue and Green had Red. Then they trade the team back. Or some how they both get those to mixed up they evolve and so on. I just don't see a straight up trade unless Iris eggs Trip on like she did when he battled Ash. I am completely fine with Ash keeping Conkeldurr, but my preference would be that he gets Gigalith back. I had Scrafty on the team but I realized lol 7. If I am going with subs I'd definitely have him at the top of the listing followed by Leavanny and Palpitoad. I assume Ash will get one more capture by then so maybe Krokorok, Reuniclus, Beartic(assuming it would be a late capture so probably Cubchoo at that point).

I really am not seeing Trip use much of a different team until the least. Paul was able to dominate with what he had i.e. Ursaring. So I could see Chandelure dominate or Conkeldurr, aside from Serperior. If he gets Hydregion or Eelektross I can see that at the league.

I don't see Ash with that many evolve pokemon on his Unova team,i can see Tepig evolving all the way but not Oshawott so much,but it is possible but unlikely.

Any certain reason why? I mean, I certainly think I didn't go over the top, but it does seem reasonable considering how far we are guessing this would be in.

Yes, you are right but Pokemon anime is about repeating events that had been already "tested".

And for some reason I feel that 6:6 battle won't happen before league.
Maybe not even in the league! Authors might copy the first season completely...

What i'm am saying is that they already did the full battle thing with Paul already,but they can still do the full battle with Ash vs Trip but make it more lively and not boring like the Sinnoh battles Ash vs Paul had.

If they were going for that, then I don't think Ash and Trip would have had any battles at all by this point :)

I'm actually hoping they somehow get paired up in the League. I want an awesome battle just like the battle in the Johto League Silver Conference between Ash and Gary in Season 5. That was definitley the best Pokemon battle I've ever seen. I hope Ash and Trip battle just as good. I'm really hoping for that 6 on 6 battle in the Unova League.

Like Jorah said if they were going to copy the first season to the tee They wouldn't have had three battles up until now. It really would seem illogical at this point to just copy what they did back then, since a lot of Gary appearances were cameo like for the most part, whereas with Paul and Trip there is some bit of tension and battles conducted between them.

I foresee a Quarter Finals match up(just on a whim) between the two or maybe Semi's. I don't know how awesome the battle between them will be since the one with Gary was their first full battle and it was built of for two generations. I have no doubt that there will be fully evolved pokes on both sides by then. And as he did last time I think he will make the battle with Trip Unova only(not to try and prove a point like last time) but to just go with what they have been doing as of late.

Maybe they will keep Ash and Trip rivarly going beyond the Unova league,it is possible that can happen but who know for sure if they will keep Trip past the Unova league as Ash's rival,just have to wait and see.
