Ash's charmander?

    It evolves into charmeleon in episode 43- March of the Exeggutor Squad, then again into charizard in episode 46-Attack of the Prehistoric Pokémon.

    But in episode 65- Holiday hi-jynx, ash uses it as a charmander. What happened?!
     
    Really?? Wait, isn't the Jynx episode banned??
    Maybe nintendo or the person who made the anime messed up real bad XD
     
    Don't forget about Episode 66 Snow Way Out, it was still a charmander then as well, but it was probarly due to the writers mistakes with timing.
     
    The reason why Ash's charizard was reverted back to a charmander was because those episodes were originally (even by the Japanese standards) supposed to be aired much sooner, but the Porygon Seizures had changed that. since there was a 4 month hiatus to try and fix up any potential errors, and since Christmas has long passed, the episode was delayed until the next year.
     
    Japan had nothing to do with the episodes being out of order in the US (in Japan, the episode aired right AFTER the hiatus >_>). 4Kids/Kids WB just decided to air it out-of-order here, for some odd reason.

    wait, it was only Kids WB's fault? Strange, some of the Pokemon fans (even Dogasu) said that Japan ALSO aired these episodes out of order. Aw well, live and learn.

    Oops, brainfart (all I remembered was that they messed up the air date for the Christmas special). Looking through the air dates again, the Rougela episode was indeed pushed to the 5th of October of the next year (which... is still pretty pointless). ^^;; Doesn't excuse it being originally aired out-of-order here, though (along with some OTHER episodes).

    TV Tokyo decided to press forward with Pikachu's Woods, and, given the timing, a X-Mas episode and another snow themed episode would have been out-of-place. 4Kids, instead of before the eighth badge episode, just aired them after. Maybe they were in sync with the Japanese? Heh.

    Notice the airdate on the American version in the link, as it's mid-December, so that would be appropriate. Plus, late December, American stations are always in reruns. Besides, if the X-Mas episode aired after the holiday, it would be supercilious, to say the least. Shrugs. But that's my theory.
