Ash's Father?

Personally i think Giovanni is also Ash's dad.
I'm probably wrong about this but for some reason i think Archie (leader of team Aqua) is Misty's dad.

Not really. Silver appeared in the opening of the Raikou special, so he is in the same universe as Satoshi.

No, she didn't. She said "...Right. All boys/girls leave home someday. It said so on TV."

It says in the G/S/C games a couple of times... one of them in the 'No...Giovanni's son has red hair...' quote, when someone thought male player was his son.

It didn't say that in G/S/C, it said that in FR/LG.

so who agree with me .that ash's mother and father died when he was born or after he was born.i think

His mother is alive and well, his father is the only thing no one knows about, only that he is/was a trainer that is/was supposedly traveling. What show have you been watching?

Ash's mom, Delia, did say that his Dad was a Pokemon trainer, chances are he might still be assuming that he hasn't died at all. I've heard lots of different theories, even ones that suggest that while in his training, he pursued another goal. Maybe he became a Gym Leader in a foreign town, one of the Elite Four, etc. For all we know, he could indeed be Giovanni, or an extension of evil (Team Aqua, Magma...you get it). Personally, I don't know, and I'd like to think that he's alive. But I reserve no assertions as to his identity. Hopefully, with time, we'll meet him.

Actually that's a very fair point-- or I personally believe that he is just someone random. I think he is actually a worse trainer than Ash as it did take his father four days to get to Viridian City. Or so his mum says. But I don't believe that Giovanni is Ash's dad or it's Prof. Oak. ^^;;

Maybe when the show is reaired with Ash,Misty & Brock all in their teens Ash's father might appear in one of the episodes

After all it has happened in other shows where the main character's father is virtually unheard of and makes a surprise appearance in an episode

That was from Pokemon Live (I'm not sure if it is canon... wasn't it produced by Americans?) However, it could be interpreted that Delia met Ash's father (Giovanni), realized her mistake, and then gone straight (because Giovanni wasn't Ash's father until she got preggers with Ash)

I think there is more evidence for Oak being Ash's father (appearance-wise, his relationship with Deliah, his past as a Pokemon trainer, etc.) Oh yeah, Ash met a young Prof. Oak in the 4th movie... maybe Oak named his son after the Ash he met ^^

Hm, you could be right, Derrot. But I don't think Pro. Oak is Ash's father, I mean, he's Gary's grandfather. But you may be right... Well, you stick with your theory and I'll stick with mine.

delia is in her mid 20s
oak is in his lets say late 50s...
30 year diffrence...odd, but im not saying that doesnt happen.
but if oak was ashs dad that would make ash gary's uncle, and if so why doesnt oak live with delia and ash

so i dont think oak can be ashs father, but i think ash's dad is an unknown charicter, but whether the writters care enough to introduce him is a difrrent story

I personally wouldn't consider it canon, because it isn't made by the writers of the show. (So yes, it's American-made) o_o; However, I could always be wrong. *shot* XD

They do look alike, don't they...? I like that idea, of he being someone completely random. XD

I can't help but think that Ash's father is dead. After all, divorces don't happen in the world of Pokemon!

I really don't think Oak is his daddy. Gary and Daisy would most likely refer to him as "Uncle" Ash if this was true. Also, if Oak and Delia had divorced, you would think they would probably live farther apart, and they probably wouldn't be as close of friends as they are. And Ash would probably call him "Dad" instead of "Professor Oak."

Also, I doubt that Giovanni is Ash's father. It took Ash's daddy 4 days to make it to Viridian, which is oretty sad. And Giovanni has to be a strong trainer, since he led Viridian Gym AND Team Rocket, and had he kept his big mouth shut (LOL!), he might have had a better chance of keeping Mewtwo. He must also be quite wealthy, since he could fund Mewtwo's creation in the first place.

I agree with everyone who said either he was a random person, like the guy from the Indogo League; or that he's dead, and that's why he isn't talked about much. Also, I don't know if they would put divorce in Pokemon, basically a kids' show, but ya never know...
