Photoshop is better for the trainer card issue. The layer lines things up. Paint is better for recolours, fusions, etc. I suggest GIMP for scratch/customs.

Paint is also good for customs.

I use MSPaint, GIMP, & Irfanview in conjunction with each other. These three programs are what I am most comfortable with. If you'd like to download either GIMP or Irfanview then simply google search them. I doubt you'd need Irfanview though. I only use it to save files types that MSPaint & GIMP do not offer.

The best program for sprites creation would be Adobe-Photoshop CS or CS2
here is where you can download them
Adobe-Photoshop CS
Adobe-Photoshop CS2
and those are just trials if you want the whole thing you have to buy it
so the best thing to do is to download either one
and after 30days(when the trial is over) then go on google and search for cd-Keys or serials for one!
then you can have the whole version for free!

that is what my cousin did!:)

The reason I said fireworks is because when you zoom in you can do the same things you do in paint, but also add coo fx like glowing etc. But even though I say this I am a hipocrit for always using ms paint

Basic Rundown :

MsPaint > Overall Needs
Photoshop > Layer System
Marcomedia > SFX... but this disqualifies it as a sprite. ._.

Also, Budgie_Boy, no offense, but NO ONE IS ASKING FOR YOUR INPUT ON EVERYTHING WE POST. It's simply referencing. -_-;;

Wow, I leave it up for a day and i can't keep track of replies. Thanks guys, I'll try out the other programs you all suggested.

To Halo and Rocket Meowth: hello again, not really surprised to see you here.
