Azelf Help

Hey guys. I am really confused with Azelf. I am post graduation and I am just at the part of Azurill's Nightmare with Cresselia. I have already gone twice but to no avail. I go all of the way through Crystal Crossing to find out that Azelf is not there. I have successfully captured both Mesprit and Uxie and I am really confused on what I am doing wrong. Someone please help.

I definitely didnt already recruit him. He just doesnt appear. It says the same thing at Crystal Lake as it does at the end of Mt. Brittle, "You cannot go any farther..." Ugh

You sure you're going through Crystal Crossing? Maybe it has something to do with your current position in the plot.
