Hmm, yeah, I was sure he could learn earthquake, weird, and since Riolu IS a baby Pokemon, but his special attack is really quite sad, so he cant really be a mixed sweeper like I was thinking, base 35 xP

Riolu is a Basic Pokémon, just like Pikachu. This card proves it.

Why's Magby being ignored? Mixed Sweeper please. 75 Base Atk, 70 Base SAtk, 83 base speed. That's pretty good for a baby Pokemon, if you ask me.

Hello, sorry for bringing this thread back from the Abyss. =P

My friends and I decided it would be fun to also do a baby battle. We took all of the baby Pokémon from the bublapedia list and threw them into a hat and the four of us each drew three of them. We plan on doing level 50 capped 3 on 3 battles. I am looking for some advice on how I should go about my setup.

Here is what we all drew.

Me - Budew, Elekid, Wynaut
F1 - Tyrogue, Magby, Smoochum
F2 - Chingling, Bonsly, Muchlax
F3 - Happiny, Mime Jr, Riolu

All of my friends are amazing at strategizing so I am a little worried. I was happy to see I got Wynaut. I plan on breeding and checking IVs and doing EV training. But I have a few questions. Looking at my competition and knowing how great they are at strategizing I am unsure of what move sets I should use, items I should hold, and EVs I should train. Also, if for some reason it takes me past level 50 to get all of my EV points will I still have them all when I go into a capped fight?
