    Bad "tide-ings"

I love puns. I also love UU, so when gen V gave us a cute wet warty pal (no witches), what reason was there not to (ab)use it? I've had quite some success with this team, yet there's obv some issues with it as you probably can tell, but hey, that's where you get in and help out!

    TEAM BUILDING PROCESS: (kinda)

While Ludicolo was nice, it simply didn't work out very well since Natt pooped on my team deluxe. Swapped it for a SD Feraligatr.

Gatr did its job, but it was damn slow. Also, foe weather became annoying, so I scarfed toed and swapped Gatr for Rank, which lols at Nattorei and stall in general, so it was a win/win situation for me. Also decided to try out chestorest kingdra at this point.
Scizor didn't help me much despite having its weaknesses lowered. Added Latios over it in order to have a secondary landlos check of sorts, w/ hp fight for tar.

    THE TEAM:

    [PokeCommunity.com] Bad "tide-ings" ;DDDD

    Politoed (M) @ Choice Scarf
    Trait: Drizzle
    EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Surf
    - Ice Beam
    - Focus Blast
    - Hidden Power [Electric]

Woo Politoed. With a Scarf it checks quite a lot of otherwise annoying mons, such as DORY, LANDLOS, erm, Jolteon I guess? Anyways it outspeeds a lot of things, and kills them. Surf is a wonderful and reliable stab move, Ice Beam kills dragons not named Kingdra, and Focus Blast is there for Natt in case Rank fails to dispose of it.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Bad "tide-ings" ;DDDD

    Morobareru (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Effect Spore
    EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SDef
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Spore
    - Clear Smog
    - Giga Drain
    - Toxic

Usually my #1 switchin from Politoed, and the ultimate gimmick mon ever. Tbh when I added him I just wanted to troll with it, but is this thing bulky or what. Takes grass/fighting/elec/ hits like a champion, hell with its fire weakness canceled out by rain it can probably outstall blaziken and kill its boost with clear smog lol. Anyway, what I usually use this for is to spore stuff so that kingdra gets some free turns to punch holes early game, or eventually gorebyss if I feel that kingdra will be more valuable later.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Bad "tide-ings" ;DDDD

    Kingdra (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Swift Swim
    EVs: 252 HP / 96 Atk / 160 Def
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Dragon Dance
    - Outrage
    - Rest
    - Sleep Talk

K so I've been using a buttload of Kingdra sets because it is amazing in rain. I started with a mixed set, which while it did "all right" didn't help out much at all, continued experimenting with a chesto rest set, but turns out that desukan craps all over that and burns me after I've chestoed the first time.(oh, and Kingdra DOESN'T learn mist despite my futile efforts to find a counter for desu, sooo go die in a fire :<) Nattorei also lol'd at me, so this is my attempted payback. Mono kingdra is actually really fun. Most things either try to wear it down or toxic it, and thus it is really really fun to just dd up, rest off the damage, and randomly hit stuff with a boosted outrage that's not locking me in nor confusing. Really really fun to use, as even power whip isn't even a 3hko on kingdra w/ lefties (30.79% - 36.44%), so I can dd up to my hearts content until I'm pleased, though this is more of an "emergency check" to natt if anything. :x

    [PokeCommunity.com] Bad "tide-ings" ;DDDD

    Rankurusu (M) @ Life Orb
    Trait: Magic Guard
    EVs: 192 HP / 188 Def / 128 SAtk
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Recover
    - Focus Blast
    - Thunder
    - Psycho Shock

Natt poops on rain dance. Rank poops on Natt by being immune to all of its attempts to stall. Usually I just focus blast if I know they have a ttar, since they for some reason love switching into it, meaning that the weather is mine and I'm set to go. Should also be noted that it kills off the Burunkeru + Nattorei combo with ease, and it craps on skarm, bliss, basically a lot of stall. Really, I've tried a feraligatr over this, but once I started using Rank, it has done its job marvellously and I've never looked back. And YES, I know CM is nice, but really, thunder is amazing because it allows me to lol at everything with para :x Usually nets me around 2 kills per match if played correctly.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Bad "tide-ings" ;DDDD

    Gorebyss (M) @ Leftovers/Lum Berry
    Trait: Swift Swim
    EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Hydro Pump
    - Hidden Power [Electric]
    - Substitute/Ice Beam
    - Shell Smash

K so this is my favourite rain dance mon ever. After a shell smash bliss is 2hko'd by hydro pump, which usually means that I can get out of there unscathed and keep the (water) pressure up lololol. I've actually tried out using a sublefties set over ice beam simply because it protects against status more than lum does, but idk. I just spam hydro pump anyways, sooooo.
but yeah, my source to 6-0's deluxe. It's extremely fun to use, and that base 105 defence means that it can actually take a priority hit, which is further helped by sub.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Bad "tide-ings" ;DDDD

    Latios (M) @ Life Orb
    Trait: Levitate
    EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 Def
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Dragon Pulse
    - Hidden Power [Fighting]
    - Psycho Shock
    - Recover

Cleans up late or early-game. Provides those nice secondary elec/grass/fight resists, as well as being a great lure for ttar as well since a lo hp fight 2hkos it. It sweeps, it's damn strong, but idk how useful it actually is. Still, it has never actually disappointed me, soooo.

    Final Comments:
Well, this is my first attempt at a rain dance team ever, and it has yet to disappoint me. One issue is that nothing can take any hits, with no resists EVER, especially dragon-type moves, such as when latios shows its cute face because that means that I have to sack something, but hey, keep on truckin.

Your team looks good. For Politoed, you can use Hypnosis if you want to put something to sleep before they attack, then switch to a counter. If Regeneration Morobareru is released, you could use that ability in place of Effect Spore.
