Is Flying actually a single type at all? Or is it always accompanied by something?

Flying has never gotten a solo poke. As of yet, they have always been combined with another type. Which sucks, is also imo why there is an odd number of pokemon types. Because they never let Flyinf even out the balance.

that has always sucked, I remember when they introduced Perappu [Chatot] that it was suppose to be the first only flying type Pokemon, which later on confirmed to be a Normal type as well

Technically, there is a Pure Flying: Sky Plate Arceus

If Sky Plate Arceus uses Roost, It has no Weaknesses, Resistances, or Immunies. Basically, it becomes typeless
