    Hi

I've decided that for this time around I may actually delve into link battling having never really pursued it before. I was searching for options to make my beloved Kabutops a viable option and I read somewhere that the combination of Swift Swim and Drizzle is banned.

In what context is it banned? Who has banned it? When can't I use it?

It doesn't show up in the restriction list for the VGC, so I don't really understand in which context the "ban" exists.

Any help would be hot, because I'll be new to online battling and if there's a whole set of rules out there then I'd like to be aware of them.

It's banned in Smogon's tiers but not VGC's tiers. So if you're playing online on Pokemon Showdown, then it's banned there, but in VGC you're free to use it as much as you want. However you can use Rain Dance and Swift Swim Pokemon if you want. :) So basically just don't use a Pokemon with Drizzle, and a Pokemon with Swift Swim on the same team.

    Ahh that's really helpful, cheers!
