...this may sound odd...but i've been put on notice, that there are a few pokemon episodes banned due to "graphic nature" or something like that...anyone know anything about it???

Several episodes have been banned due to different reasons. In the first series 3 where banned, one shown later as a cut 'lost episode' in the US. 'Beauty and the Beach' featured James with prosthetic breasts in order to win a beauty contest, 'The Legend of Dratini' had many uses of guns in it and a reference to Adolf Hitler. This episode was the one where Ash caught his Tauros, which is why nobody in other countries understood how he got it, and finally, 'Electric Soldier Porygon' which had a sequence of red and blue flashing lights which caused japanese children to have epileptic fits. In the Johto saga, 'The Ice Cave' was banned because it was due to be shown when there was that SARS outbreak a couple of years back and because Team Rocket gave Brock a cold, it was deamed inappropriate. Also Jynx featured in this episode. I also think that a few episodes in Hoenn where skipped because they had Jynx in them aswell. Phew, thats all I can remember without researching it again. Call me a PokéNut but I can just remember this crazy stuff! Hope this helps!

There are some other banned episodes but you can still watch them on VHS or DVD:

    1) Tentacool & Tentacruel- was banned after September 11 because people were using guns and big Tentacruels were smashing buildings. I think you can see a clip of a Tentacruel shashing a building in the original Pokemon theme song.

    2) The Tower of Terror- was banned after September 11 because of it's name but ran again a few months later.

    3) Holiday Hi-Jynx- was banned in the US because of the Pokemon Jynx.

    4) The Bicker the Better- was banned is some countries (I believe Italy, France and Jamaica) because it had some mature references to sexuality.

I believe that was the only banned episodes that were not metioned here.

Isn't it little lame that some episodes got banned because something wrong happened in real world?
WHAT POKEMON ANIME HAS TO DO WITH EVENTS IN REAL WORLD?!
If that's the concern, delay that ep but don't ban it.

Also the ep "beauty and the beach". They edited it in US version (they cut out that scene with "boobie implants" James had...), showed once and never showed again. The question is, why? There was nothing inapropriate in that ep so what's the reason?

Jinx color problem is ridicilous. For example in Poland they showed that ep with jinx MANY TIMES and no one ranted about that. But NO, in US there always must be somebody who must rant because "he/she/it didn't liked that" and episode ended up removed from broadcast forever.

Episode with whiscash...see what I posted above.

Electric soldier porygon. Japanese people fault. They could cut out the dang scene from anime and there would be no problem.
Now basicly that means that Porygon and his evolutions will never ever make debut in the show.

Legend of dratini is a little problem though.....editing mew moustage is not a problem, the bigger problem are those guns>>'

Sorry for ranting but usually I am offended when somebody bans episode of anime that I like to watch without stating the good reason --'

What reference to Hilter? I don't recall that at all. This should cover everything.

    And the clip show! https://dogasu.bulbagarden.net/comparisons/houen/ep121.html

And here is the AG episode where Jynx is edited out: https://dogasu.bulbagarden.net/comparisons/houen/ep013.html

That Hitler reference is nonsence if you'd asked me. I can remember that Spiderman had a character called J. Jonah Jameson, which had a similar mustache. See pic below:

Heck, even Spiderman made a comment about that:

JJJ: I won't rest untill I know who you are.
Spiderman: And I won't rest untill you shaved that Hilter-mustache off.

Now how come that wasn't banned?

    Answer is pretty simple.
Pokemon is supposed to be for younger audience, while spiderman is for Teenage audience.....well even if Hitler refference is not a problem, there are still guns in that ep (one even pointed at Ash's face)...so I can agree with banning this one (and ONLY this one ep).

I agree with everything else you said but the reason Jynx was "banned" is because of something called blackface which is offensive, not just because she was black. The old version of Jynx actually looked quite a lot like it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackface

aHa....banned Pokemon episodes...what is this world coming to...

So if thats so why hasn't it been banned from the Trading Cards, Video Games and Books!
Jynx skin color was modified starting from Gold/Silver, which seems to have stopped all the complaints.
It appeared in an ep during Battle Frontier with the modified skin color and (as far as I know) recieved no complaints.

Yeah, someone on YouTube has uploaded it in about 10 parts haha
