Banned Pokemon ? Attacks ? and Team Help Please

    The question above and also is it any different from the ones that are banned/frowned upon on Wifi? Also are OHKO attacks banned as well?

    Now for the second part of the topic, I need some help with a Team I am building. I don't have Diamond/Pearl, so I will be using Emerald. So far these are the pokemon I am looking to use:

    Snorlax @ Leftovers
    Careful
    EV: ?
    - Curse
    - Return
    - Rest
    - Shadowball

    Tank

    Metagross @ Leftovers
    Adamant
    EV: ?
    - Meteor Mash
    - Explosion
    - Earthquake
    - ?

    Physical Sweeper

    Scizor
    ?
    EV: ?
    - ?

    Physical Sweeper/ or Choice Bander

    Gengar

    EV: ?

    Special Sweeper

    As for the other 2 pokemon I don't know for sure yet. I am just trying to make a competitive team that doesn't have Pokemon that conflict with the Banned ones. Please switch out any Pokemon that you find necessary to help this team and thank you in advance!

    yes OHKO attacks are banned i have read some where. its mainly Uuber pokemon or hacked pokemon that are banned.
     
    Are the ones considered uber with 600 or more in base stats?
     
    No, Ubers are: Wobbuffet, Rayquaza, Lugia, Ho-oh, Mewtwo, Mew, Diaruga, Parukia, Giratina, Kyogre, Groudon, Latios, Latias, Aruseus, and all forms of Deoxys.

    Yeah, sanjay is right. Tyranitar has two stats, HP & attack, that goes over 400. However, his typing brings him down.
     
    But he gets that SDef boost. IIRC, that makes his SDef equal to that of 176 base without a boost with no EVs.

    But whatever. CBJask is going to be on my team pwning Tar anyways, so I can't complain.
     
    In Wobbufet's case, his incredible HP and endurance makes his moves devastating to his opponents, as well as Shadow Tag. Imagine what'l happen if there are two Wobbufet battling each other.
     
    Would Zapdos be banned from tournaments, I know its not 600 but its a legendary?

    not if you use "General Competitive Standard:Rules", which allowed non-uber legends :\

    no. its ledgends like all 3 birds, all 3 dogs, all 3 regis, latios, latias, all 3 pixes, regigiggas, heatran & cressy are the ones which are allowed, i have read this somewhere so im not sure if its accurate or not. tourneys use similar pokemon entry rules as the battle tower/frontier uses.
